All mine are still sewn up. I was told to keep them that way to preserve the shape & structure of the suit jacket, when you use the pockets for anything with any kind of weight like keys or wallet it makes the suit hang differently & stretches as opposed to just lay & flow.

Could be wrong, but I keep clothes for a long time and didn't wanna test it by ruining a good suit jacket.
