Cowboys Get La'el Collins...5/7

So who else putting their bid in to be a RB on the Cowboys. I'm stretching..running suicides getting ready for camp... I can pretty get a few hundred yards a year behind this line..

real talk.. if they get AP, he's running for 2000+ easy.. he's pretty much had a year's worth of rest.. he's gonna be fresh as hell.

Shit that's why I said an injury free Dmac could beast...that fucker could do 2500 just off speed...

I think he could do 1500 in 10 games

120
X10

1200

With a few 200 yd games...so 2000 should be a breeze if healthy

But I really wish we could have moved up in the 3rd to grab the RB Coleman, Duke Johnson or Ajayi in the 4th or 5th.

I hope Chaz Green and the other Olineman turn out to be good.
I would have loved to draft a RB instead of one of them.

Yeah the Chaz Green pick is a luxury now

Word on the low is he could get traded for a RB

Could've just drafted a back there in hindsight but I still like the pick cuz he could but the RT of the future

Collins will start at LG

Nasty line bro

Yeah I just don't think they liked these running backs in this draft. I think for them it was Todd Gurley or Melvin Gordon.....I honestly think they believe all them dudes out there were on the same level of what they had in Joseph Randle, Ryan Williams, etc. I think ESPECIALLY Randle with the bullshit they putting up with him. They plan on making him a feature back in this offense if he doesn't get cut this offseason.

Yea man, I was very impressed. Which sucks for me. Something tells me that the temptation will be too much for Jerry and ya'll will pony up a package for AP. I just have that gut feeling.

It wouldn't shock me AT ALL.

Kinda getting that same vibe, the dude avg damn near 6 years a touch last year, but i will take , one back getting 900-1200 yards, Mcfadden or randle and the rest picking up 500-800 yards spot work behind them, romo does not have to carry the team now , just be efficient and make the plays he should.

Pretty much my stance. I don't care about the fantasy football numbers. Just keep the defense honest and use clock and allow for the run to open up the pass like last season. Do that and we'll be alright.

If it meant getting AP for two good years, I would force carr to take a paycut or cut him, and resign dez for long contract and guaranteed money. If our pass rush improves just a little, we would be fine with Scandrick and M claiborne or jones on outside. Look at the patriots and Seahawks, a good pass rush can make your DBs look like superstars!

Oh yeah I think the Cowboys would do that. I think if they plan on trading for AP they are trying to get the best value for him. I like that year in and out we're building this team with draft picks so i'm not that excited about potentially giving up a 1st round pick for maybe 1 or 2 good years for AP because I don't think with our offensive line our run game should be on point.

We've put so many resources into our offensive line......to the point where you don't have to spend as many in a running back.

In regards to the corners......with Scandrick upset about his contract, Claiborne being inury prone and Jones being a rookie.....Carr IMO, is probably the best of the corners. Last year he struggled early and turned it on late. You get that late Carr we got late last year? I don't expect him to take a cut. Its gonna be just like the Demarcus Ware situation last year. It just depends on how they decide to handle it.

Cowboys have really set themselves up on some "rich get richer" shit. They are gonna get a few compensatory picks next year. I think it may change as the season goes on but as of now they should get something for a few of those free agents they lost. The loss of Demarco Murray will get them atleast a 3rd rounder.

We have to see it on the field but on paper?

Nasty Oline, like you said.

They have really but the foundation of this team, the offensive line very well

All these dudes are young and we ain't gonna be able to pay them all but we can cross that bridge when it comes 2-3 years down the road

Shit I like what's going on tho just draft some more fuck it

I'm gonna subscribe to this thread and revive it once the cowgirls are crying in the car at the end of the season.

Giants will be in the car long before the Cowboys will. You should worry more about that.

Giants fans hurt they had a top 10 pick and got Flowers who Randy Gregory destroyed in college....meanwhile Cowboys had the 27th pick and got Gregory, Jones and Collins.

And there were rumors they were gonna use that pick on Collins in New York.

The Cowboys on a personnel level just jumped a whole year on the rest of the NFC East.
