Cousins hurt again

Being the best big man hasn't meant much in the past 20 years.

2000-2003 Lakers had Shaq

2005 and 2007 Spurs had Duncan

2009 and 2010 Lakers had Gasol

2014 Spurs had Duncan (older but still averaged 15 and 10 in the Finals)

If you narrow your range to the past 10 years your argument holds more water.

From 2013 to 2018 dude averaged about 26 ppg and 11 rpg with 4 apg. In what league isn't that highly impressive. Motherfuckers made it to the hall of fame with less.

And he could beat you inside, outside, off the dribble; take defenders outside the paint and hit shots outside the arc or force them to try and keep up as he drove to the cup; when healthy he was arguably a top 5 player in the L.

Only thing I can think of is that contract he turned down from The Pelicans.
He gambled thinking he was going to get max money.
