This happens everyday right here in the US. How many Black girls are taken and its assumed they are just run aways. It sounds idiotic, but it makes you think how often this occurs in other countries and the blame is put on citizens of the country instead of foreigners.
Luckily, these guys were idiots and thier white privilege wasn't enough to get the the needed training and resources to pull this off.
Slightly related. This is why I have a problem with Black people telling others not to join the military or shaming law enforcement careers. White racists are doing this in large numbers and getting the experience to do these types of things. Black people will say we can police ourselves. How can you protect your neighbor from professionally trained threats without similar experience.
