I ask the question because as great as Steph is, he's not an explosively physical player like a LeBron James or a Russell Westbrook. Theoretically, there isn't anything that Steph does night in and night out that an elite female player in the WNBA couldn't do if she were willing to put in the work (Theoretically!).

So, could a female version of Steph Curry significantly boost WNBA ratings? Would she be able to fill arenas?
 
Listen. The fact is women don't support women. There is an entire WNBA league specifically for women to go and see women play pro basketball. They could buy their shoes, fill up the arenas and watch at home on TV too

but they don't and that has nothing to do with a Steph curry type player.

The NBA TV deals with networks all include wnba games - ABC and TNT were paying for games they weren't broadcasting

The NBA doesn't even take the WNBA seriously. They're airing this dumb ass Talent Challenge when they could air a WNBA 3 point contest. If nothing else, it would at least get some of the WNBA player's names out there. Maybe people would actually watch a game (or a quarter or two) if they had an idea who they were rooting for.

the wnba is missing "the dunk"...that simple thing u see multiple times a game in the nba is non existance in the wnba or womens basketball in general.. "the dunk" is like "the td"...yeah u can watch a game or two if it was only fg's but a whole season with zero td's and juss fg's nobody gonna watch that shit..the dunk is like that for bball

The only thing that will boost the WNBA is if the uniform is thongs and bras and then its viewer base would increase. Other than that, it is not interesting.
