He doesn't have a chance. He's too outspoken about black issues and racism for white folks to vote for him and black people don't have the votes to carry him by ourselves. I also don't think he has the proper temperament and he won't get passes like Trump did.

That said, he may help with the national conversation around the issues he voiced.

I hope he isn't being propped up by someone wanting spoiler candidates like nolabels.org.

I agree with you. But, I feel that if he can carry the majority of the Black vote, then the white folks would really have a tough time because their votes would be pretty much split down the middle.

They'd have to woo the shit out of the Hispanics and Asians in order to win. Blacks would look pretty attractive to a white candidate then. Our vote could potentially kick a white candidate over the proverbial hump. Then maybe our demands can be taken more seriously.

I'm not counting the Coons.

In the primary this is not a problem. I'm all for protest votes and making statements. In the general this would cause the GOP to win and the majority of them are either batshit crazy and/or willing to support or not speak out or vote against bat shit crazy.

These are the folks who want to cut social programs and continue the tax breaks that are the main driver of the deficit they complain about. Not to mention the possibility of a nationwide abortion ban, and all the crt and other culture war issues they want to legislate to appeal to their base.

The only people voting for him will be people that weren't going to vote to begin with.
 
Here's the problem. Let's he does win the Presidency, how is he going to get new legislation passed? He can't always rely on the Heroes Act and old laws to get his agenda passed. Now if he has other people running for office for Senate or the house, I'll take his run more seriously.
Otherwise it's just a....

I can't speak for anyone else, but I can speak for myself. Damn right in my case. I wasn't going to vote for Trump, DeSantis, or Biden. I wasn't going to waist my time for either one of these people who'll get in and do nothing for us.

All of these guys are a lose/Lose proposition as far as I'm concerned. I don't know what West would do, but I'd take my chances with him. I'll vote for the new guy, no matter bleak his chance are.

We're getting fucked by the demons and the repugs, and we know this going in... I'm sick of it!

Running for President is one of the biggest hustles to keep your name in the Political arena...

And it builds your resume, Book deals, paid speeches, etc... As " The Former Presidential Candidate"

Obama didn't let him in as some political advisor... the Bernie hustle didn't work.. so he has to create his own lane to stay relevant...
 
He can’t be therious. He’s a bit long in the TOOTH for this. :smh: I don’t see him closing the HUGE gap in this race.

So this doesn’t change anything. Either not voting or voting for West is the same.

My point remains.

Unless voters that were definitely going to vote for someone else switche to him, he will have 0% impact on the election. He will never have enough votes to win and if he isn't changing the votes of the candidates that actually can win, his run is folly. And a chance to grift some $$$.
