YELLOW WATERMELON MARGARITAS
Watermelon margaritas…but make them YELLOW.
I made these with a yellow watermelon and besides that gorgeous color, they are dangerously easy to drink. This recipe makes about 4 big margaritas—two each for us, because that’s how margarita night works around here.
And no, I didn’t measure the pours into the glasses. Just shake, pour, and enjoy!
Ingredients
* ½ bottle tequila* Juice from a small yellow watermelon (about 16 oz)* 8 oz fresh lime juice* 4 oz Grand Marnier* 2–4 oz agave nectar, to taste* Pinch of salt
Directions
Blend the yellow watermelon until completely smooth, then pour it through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the pulp.
Add the strained watermelon juice, tequila, fresh lime juice, Grand Marnier, agave, and a pinch of salt to a pitcher. Stir well and taste—add more agave if you like yours a little sweeter.
Serve over ice with a salt or Tajín rim if you’d like.
Yellow watermelon margaritas. Same margarita night, just prettier.
