Congrats Mr. James: You are truly the best a lot of people have ever seen!

SO... I should delete a thread based on your opinion?

Bron set to surpass Timmy next game for 5th place on the all time playoff scoring list. He will pass MJ next postseason. :itsawrap:
all those records, for what? He'll be known for winning two back-to-back titles as part of THE BIG THREE, and not being the first athlete to bring a professional title to the state of Ohio.

He's already known as the greatest small forward. None can be mentioned with him, not one is ever named in these threads. Kobe gets mentioned with Jordan all the time. He didnt dominate his position the way Bron has.

Jordan never faded in the 4th quarter of a finals game or wilted in OT... never choked like your boy has

1996 Finals Game 6 vs. Sonics
Jordan goes 5-19 (27%) 22 points, 5 TOs. Scottie had to carry them victory. The boy was trash that day. He's got several others in the Finals where he was subpar. Luckily he always had teammates and refs to bail him out.

Does he remember getting swept out the first round? Or missing 26 shots in the 97 ECF, the most ever in a playoff game?

another thing - they were swept in the first round by the Celtics eventual world champs that year- 86
a team considered to be the best ever at the time
4 consective EC titles 84 -87, was world champ 84

they won - if they lost we would have rode on Jordan the same way we do Lebron...
side note Sonics were hell-acious that year and Payton was a shut down defender - Jordan didn't choke so much more like he had a "glove" put on him

as for the other subpar stats? - triple team defense - teams shutdown or slowed Jordan hoping the rest of the Bulls couldn't step up - Pippen and company always made them pay...

dude I hate the bulls - I lived for the Knicks Bulls wars and it was amazing to see the difference in that team without Jordan

So what? He shouldve at least won a game. Dominique did against them the next round. But Jordan was such a loser he couldnt. If he showed a little heart and beat them they wouldnt be considered one of the best teams of all time. How many times did Larry sweep Magic? And the Bucks beat him in 4 games, go ahead and tell me they were one of the greatest teams ever too so its OK he got torched?

That Sonics team was weak. Ervin Johnson McIlvaine, Kemp, and Derrick Mckey were their big men. :smh: GP is the only HOFer from that squad. Jordan was TRASH that Finals and had other trash Finals games against Utah. Luckily the refs ALWAYS gave him the Harden treatment and got him double digit free throws when his shot sucked.

the Bulls were 5 years away from building a champ team - and Jordan's stats in that series were ok - the entire series was in Boston! in a year Boston was 40-1 at home?- really?

Like LeBron getting swept against the Spurs and single handledly torpedoing the Heats chances against the Mavs Right?

as a TEAM they were solid that year the west was no slouch, granted they weren't the wrecking crew team that shit the bed a few years before but it was a solid squad

Dominique beat that same team in the playoffs that year. :smh:

To Jordan's credit when he got to the big show, he proved to deliver consistently and came through in the clutch.

That being said, he was never good enough to carry a team without Pippen and that cannot be disputed. One win in the playoffs says it all. Jordan gets credit for being the greatest shoe salesman off the court and the best closer on the court.

However, without a talented team to carry him (notably a hall of fame coach, SF, and PF) he proved that he wasn't good enough to get it done on his own.

What exactly did LeBron WIN on his own again? He did find away to be directly responsible for a finals loss WITH 2 HOFers and sit helplessly by and was his team with 2 HOFers end up in the wrong side of an historic finals ass whipping though

Never lost an NBA finals - Jordan
Never quit on his team and pouted as they lost - Jordan
Never shot a paltry 72% from the free throw line in ANY season - Jordan

LeBron is shooting only 74.4% for his career. Fuckin' ballpark, it ain't the same league, it ain't even the same fuckin' sport

This isn't saying anything. He had a bomb squad in the finals. He quit and pouted when the Piston spanked that ass. Dumars shut him down a few times. He cried to the refs and hasn't stopped crying since. He's a great but a total asshole.

LeBron has won plenty on his own, just check the stats.

The guy single-handedly carried historically bad teams to the Finals so yes, he did get it done on his own.

The LeBron hate is historic at this point. The funny thing is, if the Cavaliers win the title this year, he would have carried two players (the same two players that will be touted as hall of famers) to the title that have never even sniffed the playoffs before.

LeBron has a chance to be the best ever and he is just a couple of accolades away.

You dont win shit unless you win the chip and hes failed miserably there. Its not just losing, shit everybody loses in the finals (except 6 time MVP Jordan) :D , its the embarrassing way he lost them shits. That Dallas series was fucking ridiculous... :smh:

Also, just because people dont agree that hes on his way to GOAT status doesnt mean its hate. Thats some pathetic shit really... Its like a stans credo :smh:

What in the entire fuck..... Who else on those bulls teams carried a team? Pippen went to Houston and Portland.... Who was on those teams? Stop acting like Pippen went to the clippers and got them to the second round. Rodman played with the Pistons. What did he do after leaving the bulls? Why couldn't those same Bulls team minus Jordan, get further? Why didn't Pippen and that HOF coach get to the finals without Jordan?

Face palm

Who never sniffed the playoffs? Love and Irving? Jeeze... They weren't there last year?
He's 2/5, there's no way he can beat Jordan there.

Pippen carried a team (that plugged in Pete Myers at SG) to 55 wins and and has more playoffs success than Jordan.

Remember, when it comes to discussing Jordan, the argument is mainly based on positive team accolades (playoff wins and championships). Why is that argument not applicable to other players?

Pippen didn't get to the Finals without Jordan but his best chance was thwarted by the same coach that got to the Finals several times without Jordan

Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving lead their teams to the lottery every year until LeBron showed up and taughtthem how to win.

Yes, there is no way he can beat Jordan in the category of NBA Finals win percentage (6/6) but multiple players have beaten that yet none of them are considered the best player ever. I wonder why?

Not just the number but HOW Air won... All of the players who have won more, were they the best and most dominant players in all of their finals? ...and in the context of LeBron, I've said it before, there's no shame in losing, the embarrassment is the WAY LeBron has lost in the finals. Swept, being literally the sole reason they lost to Dallas with his SERIES LONG epic choke job, and then getting an historic ass whipping from the Spurs... The Spurs beat the fuck out of the Heat and LeBron was a part of all that shit..., all the longevity records aside, I call those secondary trinkets because they are the consolation prize since he's been such an embarrassment when winning time starts more often than not :smh:

Of course he will have more playoff success, especially if one takes a two year vacation. And then the other goes on and teams up with multiple hall of fame/all star players.

Yeah, I just don't like his isoball game. It's frustrating to no end. As a born and raised Cleveland Fan it's frustrating to watch.

LeBron is so dominant in the post, but for some unknown reason he wants to be a jump shooter and a three point shooter. If he had spent his career in the post... Oh my fucking god. It's still frustrating for me to watch him shoot free throws at 74%

Jordan and LeBron are two completely different players, it's pointless to compare them as it is to compare the 70s Pittsburgh Steelers and the 80s San Francisco 49ers.

I have said this before: As good as LeBron is now imagine how he would be if he had a reliable go-to move (especially one that commanded a double team)

Truth be told he has Love and Kyrie.... He deserves respect for what he accomplished those first few years in Cleveland but frankly, since then he's been TRYING like hell to put together elite teams and ultimately it's not worked out for him.

Fools act like LeBron is running around with Hollis Thompson and Henry Sims as his starters.... Shit, in a league era where you can run from team to team and it's acceptable to run to play WITH your competion instead of having pride and BEATING them, one should have more playoff and regular season success.... Especially when you came in to the league 3-4 years before your counterpart.... Duh

Reliable move? What about the fadeaway 3-pointer that he hits 10% of the time?
