Yooo ... I went to the Janet Jackson the other night and it was TIGHT!!
JJ put on a 2 hour showcase of her hits. Due to her deep catalog (at this point) she sang primary in medley format. At best you got 2 verses of a song before she moved on to the next song (all hits). She still looks & dances good, backup dancers were.. backup. No opening act (she don't need any).
The sound system was loud as fuck, the lasers were boss and the pacing of the show was cool. There were not elaborate stage pieces, no clothing changes , not a whole bunch of bs banter between songs, however she had two big ass video screens so you could see her clearly no matter where you sat even if in the nosebleeds. From moment she hit the stage, she took care of business.
Weirdly enough the only slow/low points of the concert was when she sang cuts from her new album and at the time the album hadn't drop so the audience was kind of loss. Well worth the money.
Thsirt - $45 & up, Program $35,
