Computer got hacked

as someone already stated, wipe your machine
(backup your data if possible)
after re-installing the OS, keep Malwarebytes or something similar on a thumb drive and run it from time to time
be careful moving forward where you download stuff from (JSON is short for javascript Object Notation)- basically somebody embedded some malicious code into whatever you downloaded.

Defender is terrible look up pc security channel on YouTube. Defender often locks up and can't remove malwars and still can't control Ranson ware.

Wipe it and install Norton with VPN.

And stop downloading porn.

I agree.. Never said it was great, said it was good out the box for Windows for people that don't use anything else. I definitely wouldn't depend on it, but it does work. I personally prefer Bitdefender or Crowdstrike Prevent (but you will need a corporate Falcon license with the employee home use option)... Agree using a VPN... Computer, phone, smartTV, and games consoles if you have them.

Ppl, in today's day PLZ utilize "MFA" (Multi-Factor Authentication)

Crazy, MOST of us utilize "2FA" everyday and don't even realize it. The KEY to your home!

If you tell me the address of where you live, that's something YOU KNOW and now it's something I know BUT it doesn't give me access to your home b/c I don't have your key. Now, if you lose your key, and it doesn't have the other factor (the thing you need to know, what that key goes to, your home) then you haven't compromised the security of your home.

That is 2 FACTOR AUTHENTICATION!!!!!!!

Something you know, Something you have to get into your home.
Common Methods of 2 Factor Authentication
1. Push Notification: "Hey, Are you trying to gain access to another website? Yes or No?"
2. SMS - Text / Voice Authenticators are weakest out of the 3 (susceptible of something, and/or someone impersonating text/voice).
3. Authenticating App

Although SMS authenticator is weak, ALL 3 are "exponentially" better than just having one form of security (the typical user name / password)

Another thing WE need to be VERY careful of is logging into public free WiFi outlets. Excellent scammers create what's called "MITM" (Man in the middle) Essentially what that means is the scammer/hacker takes a commercial business i.e. Starbucks and mirrors the Starbucks connection to make it look/appear like it's under the same network. The hacker will then have you utilizing what you may think is an agreement using that commercial network, but you're intimately providing everything the hacker needs.

In the programming world there's another term called "Trust but also VERIFY". Too many of times we seemingly trust sites (even cached sites we've previously visited).

Check FireFox Monitor to see IF your email has ever been breached in the underground world. Guarantee you some of you are going to be surprised!

Agreed but defender is a no no for most, my mom get drive by downloads and fake avs all the time and she doesn't do anything on pc but browse her work and Facebook sites.

One wrong letter from YouTube

Most effective way to fix this is to do a fresh install of the operating system and do a fresh install of the applications you want. This is suprisingly easy to do. Happy to give you the steps of your interested.

This is the only way to ensure you get all the malware off. Your computer will also run like a brand new machine with this method.

I'm on my computer watching videos on YouTube and all of a sudden my mouse oped a new tab. When i tried to close it, the mofo went to my banking tab in my favorites column and tried to open my account info. I turned it off and unplugged my router. Did some research and saw a weird cookie with .json at the end of it. This was installed the same day i downloaded a 30 trial for NOD32. Now I'm doing a cleansing of my hard drive to get rid of all that shit.

What's a good anti keylogger and malware program?

Help a brother out.

"Tried"......

You need to create a secure room where you keep your computers that have a biometric lock.

Than you need to use security cameras in that room, preferably local storage plus a hidden one. Some of them have privacy mode, where they will face the wall when you are jacking off. If you are in a multi million dollar expensive house, driving expensive cars, you need to step up your game. You are dealing with hackers, but also the insider threat. You want a computer with face ID or biometric logins.

The more money you accumulate, than you have to start segregating your personal activity from financial. I would have a small balance account that I would keep on my phone with an app. You don't have to use one computer to do everything such as BGOL and investment accounts.

keyloggers are hard to find even for norton, kaspersky and Nod32, also some keyloggers are actually legit programs like remotePC which is scanned as safe

OP is really better off formatting and reinstalling every and do a deep wipe, it's gonna take a cybersecurity professional to really dig deep into the PC to fix

bleeping computer is the place to really post this, that's what they do over there to be exact.

But most of us don't have the attention span for that level of work in a sense.

I never had a problem. Hit it with multiple programs, takes about 12 hours or so
and IF it is in a legit program they'll tell you "this program may contain....."
and you can wash it right there. But hey to each his own

If I had a couple of million, I would only access from a separate computer where I virtually do nothing, not even email. I wouldn't have the brokerage application on my phone where the bulk of money is earning.

I am constantly getting probed and hacked, they will take something I am working on and blurt it out like a retard on TV, or trigger terrorism. WS will get real effeminate and start acting crazy. I have even seen Big Tech backdating to claim they did something before you.
