And I still hold true to exactly what I said.

I don't date white men, and I am not single, and I still say fuck black men and their whining lazy asses. I'm not bitter have no reason to be, but we keep shifting the blame everywhere but to us as individuals. Not bitter, but damn sure disgusted with us. Don't worry I do the shit I need to do to make a difference in the place I can, and it starts within my household.

You mean like everyone in the media is shifting the blame from Don Imus to hip-hop? As if his fossilzed @ss even knows what a hip-hop record is. FOH!

Have you ever consider that:

#1> Hip-Hop doesn't speak for all black men & isn't the authoritative voice in the black community.

#2> Hip-hop by far isn't the only violent, misogynistic, profane medium in this country yet no one is attacking Warner Bros., Quentin Tarintino, etc..

#3> Women, who support these artist buy listening to, purchasing music, dancing in videos, watching videos on TV, etc need to be held just as accountable as men.

#4> Black folx don't have a monopoly on vice in America (but we sure as hell are the only ones critiqued for it.)

If you're gonna critique, do so fairly & comprehensively.

70% of black children are born into single parent households. We have a fucked up system. How will these children thrive in a society that feeds upon youth?

Todays, black men and women are these children and will produce these children. They perpetuate this system.

Black women don't know how to choose a man. Black man don't know how to choose a woman.

70% of black children are guessing at what constitutes a healthy relationship. These hood boys and hood rats are the future of US.

Healthy 2 parent black families need a holiday, a memorial and tax exemption status.

The TIMING of this show topic proves Dr. Cornelius West's accurate assessment of Oprah, "she lacks political courage". Rather than denounce Imus's comments, she follows suite with the rest of the mainstream media that are currently playing the "blame game" with hip hop in a desperate attempt to save (Imus's crusty)face

I'm all for an open dialog addressing the misogynistic hip hop songs that overwhelm the airwaves, however, how can that be accomplished without certain mainstream rappers(who have questionable songs in the top ten), distributors, etc PRESENT? Of course, that's not necessary when a show topic is jumping on the bandwagon with the rest of the right wing media. So, once this hip hop blame game surrounding the Imus controversy simmers down, it's highly doubtful, Oprah's "concern" for hip hop will continue

Politics is a muthafucka ain't it?.......Good post!
