Did Ares die because of Five Guys Burgers?

The pillars; the rounded sideways arches. It seems obvious to me that Deodato referenced the work of Duccio di Buoninsegna and that Bendis was treating the cheeseburgers, onion rings, bacon burgers, fries and shakes as equivalent to Judas's five pieces of silver as the Green Goblin uses them to tempt the Sentry with dead seriousness.

The reference to the meat and entrails of Ares' split corpse suggests to me the suffering endured by fast food aficionados after indulging themselves.

Do u think Bendis attends Bible Study? Do u read the Bible?
Is Five Guys Burgers 'unhealthy'?
Do u prefer the bacon burger to the str8 cheeseburger?
Is it meaningful that Ares was killed by a Christian metaphor?
Is this an anti-war statement?
Is Five Guys unpatriotic?

Megazell's Comment - I will say this...DC Universe NOVELs beat the SHIT out of Marvel's novels.

So if they write them like they write these above...it will be a fucking smash...in fact even the Batman novels that are based off of the 'Batman Begins' storyline are really good.

None of this origin mess...they just jump into stories...THROW a lot of reference to DC stuff for old school fans but are written sharp enough to keep non-comic book readers well entertained.

the sad part is i'm enjoying it.. i guess i'm a sucker for hulk, i wouldn't buy but am enjoying the read!

If I never read any HULK book in my life ever before...I would probably enjoy it too...It's fanfiction heaven.

The thing is I have...I mean I have an issue of HULK where Bruce Banner could not repair a regular car that was missing transmission pieces and he got nabbed by The Leader...yet Bruce is building intergalatic deathrays with a shoe and crackers...Sorry, can't eat that shit in the 616.

See, the thing is that this super smart Bruce is exactly what Stan was writing in the early issues and in Tales To Astonish, minus the arrogance. So the bullshit issue would be the one where the rocket scientist couldn't fix a car.

i glad someone mentioned this because that how i always invisioned the hulk as a more dr jekyll mr hyde character but in the 90s shit took a turn for the worst making banner a pussy when he was always a troubled yet very smart person who became worst after he became the hulk because before i started reading planet hulk i was like fuck the hulk because the writing was all over the place true the writing isnt great in the new books as far the red hulk and red she hulk (powers levels wtf) but i think bruce and skaar can become even better characters if this shit is played out right.

Incorrect.

^ If you read the early issues of The Incredible Hulk - Stan and Jack wrote Bruce Banner as an expert in his field but not an expert in all things. They wrote him as a genius but his fields @ the time of his creation were radiation, rocketry and weapons.

As he progressed he would learn new fields of science to mask his identity. (Which was actually used to spear the show 'The Pretender.')

So you can take that defensive stance now but there were MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY story lines were Bruce was stuck on problems and issues that this new Bruce is breezing through with little effort.

Like I stated before with the big 2 (DC and Marvel) it depends who's writing the character...

wth is 616? i still haven't read wwh? so that's saying alot.. I'm just a pt reader of comics.. I have followed blackest night & now i'm getting bored!

Marvel and DC number their universes. So when you read of an alt time line or another version of the a comic universe they number it. MARVEL universe that you see all the issues for is numbered 616.

Incorrect.

Relax homie, no one's being defensive. I'm rocking the Hulk Omnibus right now. Stan had Banner doing all sorts of crazy scientific shit from the various gamma weapons, to indestructible robots that could withstand nuclear blasts, all the way to time machines. Shit in the second issue of Hulk he was listed as the smartest man on earth. Later writers had him creating sentient life. All I'm saying is that what Pak has been writing has been well within the character guidelines.

Now when you say that the Bannertech that Pak is writing now is bullshit, because of one issue where Banner couldn't fix a car, I'm going to call you on that. There's always going to be writer inconsistencies and that's why you go by original character intention along with what the character has been shown to do over the years.

People get it twisted since he's basically been on the run since the late '60s but Banner been running shit on the science tip. I'm more mad at them acting like Hank Pym and Beast are on the Reed/Banner/Stark level after basically a whole publishing history of mediocrity.
