To tell you the truth I had pretty much forgotten about pym until the Original Ultimates dropped and we were reminded of his dirty wife beating antics. And since they've been trying to say that Reed, Tony and Himself are the top three brains in the World these last few years, it's about time he backed it up with doing some impressive shit. Pym-particles are worn the hell out in terms of how interesting they are as a concept/plot device. Ultron, while Impressive was a disaster, and his outfit...
Btw, is anyone else still having a hard time digesting Tony Stark's elevation to Uber-Genius the last few years? Because, we always knew he was smart and a good engineer, but I never put him close to Reed category before and the last few years of big events and stuff have been harping on bout it so I guess it's just as well that he's been labotomizing himself

This is a good read, but am i the only one that thought this was one of the worst Avengers assemblages (i think thats the right word) ever?
Without Thor, Cap, or Iron Man it's just doesn't have the same impact.
I hate to say it but I was hoping for Wolverine to show up.

I can't agree with that. BTW I don't like this line up.
My favorite line up was led by Black Knight. The team had serious flaws but it made for some very interesting fights.
Once you put Thor, Cap and Iron Man....Now you need some cosmic level threat to even warrant their attention.
The Silver Surfer/Thanos/All things cosmic nerd in me nearly had a heart attack reading this......

If you mean the line-up with White Vision, Herc, Sersi, and The Swords Man, I agree. Those those were the issues that made me stop buying X-Books and start buying Avengers.
I also think they dropped the ball with the first Mighty Avengers line up.

So they took the changes they made in Ultimate and sneeked them into the Marvel Universe to appeal to the Ultimate fans and liven up their books.

I like this version of Banner. He really should as a top scientist in his field that has been around the Galaxy have this level of intellect similiar to Reed Richards.
On the other hand, because of the under breath comment he made to Reed about wanting his stuff back, I suspect this is not Banner, but The Hulk's intelligent persona resurfaced waiting for payback.

I can not recall a single storyline in the Marvel Universe where Bruce Banner was as intelligent and savy as he is in this current book.
I hear what you saying but I am going to stick with my idea because they did not make these changes til Ultimates came around.

Back when Stan was writing shit the only ones coming close to Banner were Reed and Doom. Dude made the most powerful bomb in the world, an indestructible robot, a time-gun, etc, etc.
For years they said that the only thing holding him back from further scientific research was constantly turning into the Hulk and being on the run. Obviously that's no longer a problem.
As for his attitude, it's not actually new. Years ago Doc Samson merged the Banner, Savage Hulk and Gray Hulk's personalities together because he realized that they were all fractions. We'd never actually dealt with the REAL Bruce Banner. The result of that Merger was the Merged Hulk who was insanely confident.
A lot of people think Pak is pulling this shit out of his ass, but his depiction of Hulk and Banner is actually continuing from where Peter David left off.
