This is the only Marvel book I am anticipating...

Nate Grey...The X-Man...I really hope they use his character right because as the balance of power is in Marvel he is a game-ender.

I doubt they will use him like I imagine but I will be watching.

Didn't he die in Age of Apocalypse storyline or timeline :confused:

Nope, he dead at the end of his comic in the real timeline I think, it got kinda confusing but I think his powers burnt him out

Incorrect.

He dispersed his energy to make another alien race unable to threaten the multi-verse.

He since then has made appearances as a essence in Exiles.

If you take a look at the Deadpool/Cable series as Cable was re-aging he looked just like X-Man/Nate Grey.

His power-level is very similar to what Cable had when he confronted the Silver Surfer. Though with the experience he had at the end of series he is more on par with Doctor Manhattan believe it or not.

I stand corrected, I stopped reading his comic near the end, wasn't all this after that 6 month gap the X titles had? anyway his power was always of the charts since he never had the virus to keep in check like Cable....Are you saying he got stronger?? I would love to see him take on the Sentry. With so many new powerful characters Marvel needs to re classify their heavy hitters, I mean one second Wonder Man is taking on the hulk and a the next he needs Ms Marvel to help him stop a speeding car?? And where the hell is the Blue Marvel?

If he took on the Sentry he would do the same thing he did with The Hulk...make him turn back into Bob.

Nate's power is very simple. He had the power to move things with his mind. What made him powerful was that his concentration was unbreakable. So he could move atoms around.

The book was really lackluster because they painted themselves in a corner but when they moved him into the alternate realities his powers were allowed to flesh out (not affecting the Marvel U directly).

He met another Nate but his current body was damaged so that Nate gave up his body to allow OUR Nate to live in him...Long story short this new body did not have the limits that Sinister had put in his DNA from AoA.

He became a shaman in the sense that Mutants were coming to him for help and some had powers that had negative results. So he would rewrite their DNA to keep their powers but change their negative feedback.

I remember one kid that can harness lighting but he drew it from the life force of everyone around him...So Nate made it that he drew it from bacteria and virus in his immediate area. The cool thing about the book is that he learned this in trial and error. In the beginning he fucked up a lot and made people worse or too powerful...his book had ether talk in the background all the time.

I never liked characters like that. Where they don't really define their powere. Same thing with Vulcan. Once you make them that powerful You basically have to make them fight only Gods or Cosmic beings.

Who would believe them chasing down a purse snatcher or bank robber?

Superman is really powerful but his limitations are well defined. Sentry on the other hand, his only known weakness is the Void which my or may not be his own mind.

Superman is not defined...I don't know what DC book you be reading but each writer takes Superman from full retard to punk.
I mean - my man can punch a hole in the universe...:hmm:

5 fingers to the universe....:hmm:

Please don't give me that 'latest incarnation' shit when the writers pull and pick when they need him to.

X-man story was exactly about that. Limitations/Lack of Limitations and Purpose

What the fuck do I do when I can do all this?

He was a lost kid with a lot of weight on his shoulders.

His original purpose was to defeat Apocalypse then die. Sinister made it so that when he turned 21 his DNA would fail/unravel and he would die.

His book never read like a BAM, POW fight them up...it was almost like Silver Surfer's early crusades into space. Except it was more about his crusade into himself and the lives of others.

He only had 3 real fights in the whole book - The story lines were all about purpose, the meaning of life (his and others) and power plays (those in control that want control of him).

He was most happiest when he was living in Central Park giving people free advice/readings/cures.

He did have limits but the scope of the book dealt with him coming to terms with the power he had and what should he used it for.

He never punched the universe in the face though...:hmm:

Thoughts On Old Man Logan Finale...

SPOILERS

1. Logan shoulda been swallowed whole

2. I can buy the fact that Banner was crazy and forgot about Logan's healing factor ... but they needed to play the insanity up a little more.

3. There were some GREAT panels in this book. Very satisfied with the art.

4. Was Ok with Hulk battle, but...

5. Logan should have cut out Hulk's brain and tossed it a country mile (hulk would have regenerated as a zombie, right?)

6. Final panels were too typical. Needed something more off-key

My man...No LIE. I got a cousin who has EVERY merchandise of Superman you can imagine. With the exception of the 1938 to 1965 comics...He has them all. His wife's collection is worst. I've read a lot of Superman - 90% against my will.

SUPERMAN has and will always be the most UNDEFINED SUPERHERO EVER.

I can point you to books where he punches the WIND in the face and gave it a black eye but too many of the DC Defense Brigade will kick in with "it's post crisis Superman - he don't count."

So I really don't know what book your reading but SUPERMAN has at the last time I check over 100+ powers and climbing.

The following is all after crisis and after zero hour.

When he returned from the dead he had an UNCHARTED strength class. He got so big he looked retarded and had to have Parasite absorb some of his power to get back down to non-ridiculous size.

He pushed planets.

Broke black holes.

Went to the end of the universe and back.

Went to the end of time and back.

Fought 1000 Doomsdays.

Yes - He punched the universe in the face in Infinite Crises.

In the future 85,000 Century...Yes... 85 gs in the future he is alive, made out of gold and lives in the middle of earth's sun.

Turned into energy both in blue berry and cherry flavor.

Seriously, What Superman you reading where he is defined? You must be talking about Smallville.

Superboy Prime punched REALITY and brought Jason Todd back to life. Real talk.

How the fuck you punch a CONCEPT?

DC don't play that shit. They stopped explaining shit after Zero Hour.

Remember when Hawkman was a GOD with the same power class as Thor and/or Shazam?

Right after Zero Hour they made that motherfucker stronger than Jesus...than for no reason what so ever. He decided to be normal and weak because he was happier when he was mortal....This dude went from stepping on Dr. Fate's helmet and taking a shit on dudes like Amazo to being knocked out by a Gotham thug over a stolen TV...GTFOH.
