Co-sign bruh, same here. Even though some comic snobs tend to look down on the 90's, that was the decade of cutting-edge art and it did draw folks to a book (even if the stories were......... questionable).

I would copy their panels but substitute my characters.

It's weird when i go back and read the comics and see where I jacked a whole page of art and re-wrote my own story...lol

I like Rob Liefield's stuff but when i see it now, i can see why people were putting him down.

Hey... Rob Liefeld got paid doing the exact same thing...

And Peter David would bust him in a monthly column he had... used to post Liefeld's page next to the comic he had copied pose for pose and frame for frame...

Once that "over-liney" stuff stopped impressing people, everyone got off Jim Lee's jock (including Jim Lee) and you could see who was the real talent...

Jim Lee was still brilliant... Liefeld couldn't transition to the next step at all.
