I had this issue as a kid. Had a Disclaimer on the cover. Someone stole it. I think this panel shows them at a Soda shop and the sign said No Coloreds so instead of Standing up for Justice , they told GABE to go to the Hood. :LOL:
Peep the X-men: World's Apart miniseries (should still be in the thread). It focused on Storm and featured BP. In it Storm has to visit the Panther God to save her husband and eventually earns it's full respect. Maybe that qualifies her.
Something just came to mind while as was at work
. When ever a well known hero dies they always do a few issues with every one at the funeral, or every one view on that character etc... So batman fake die or did die but is stuck is stuck in the past
, so with that said.... where the fuck is Bats funereal?? or are they just going to bring him back after the battle of the crawl?
What does every one else feel about that?

You bring up a very good point. There was no "goodbye" for Batman. No special emotional issue.
I think it was partly do the writers not knowing how everybody would accept it. So they were just toying around with it.
I didn't even read his actual death issue until weeks later, because I didn't know it had happened.
They might have wanted to do it in a Bat-Book and not at the end of a very confusing series.
Considering the way he died there are lots of different wasys he could return. I'm sure Darkseid has his spirit someplace.
Edit: At the end of R.I.P. (we assume) he was blow up in the helicopter. So really his body was lost.
So Batman has died twice.
That's what happens when writers don't communicate with each other.

I didn't read it since I don't really follow DC (although SUPES is Sucking me in )but weren't they both written by Grant Morrison?
You may be right. but then that makes even less sense.
