went to pick up my comics today (a day late...a nigga busy) and what do i find when i pick up my new copy of Squadron Supreme? maufuckin' Chaykin is the maufuckin' artist

The series stars Sara Pezzini, a tough-as-nails NYPD homicide detective who comes into possession of the Witchblade, a supernatural, sentient artifact with immense destructive and protective powers. The weapon has bonded with various women throughout history, including Cleopatra and Joan of Arc. Sara struggles to hone the awesome powers of the Witchblade and fend off those with a nefarious interest in it, especially entrepreneur Kenneth Irons. She also struggles to maintain a personal life.

yeah, i read the book...and ummmm, this "Marco Turini" character isn't too much better..i don't understand Marvel's concept on this shit....seriously. They got niggas like Olivier Coipel, Clayton Crain, Joe Madureira, Simone Bianchi and Koi Turnbull, just to name a few, who are phenomenal!! I don't see how Editors can look at these other niggas art and just let that shit ride out....some bullshit.

I feel you Lord Iron. I remember reading the Spider Woman origins mini back in '05, it looked like it was drawn, inked and colored by a high school art class. I still don't even know why I bought the series to tell the truth. But at the same time, I kinda understand why Marvel uses its artists the way it does. Marvel sees it's artists not as peopel but as tools to promote sales and the bottom line. It's puts its best people on projects that either a) it has the most invested in or b) has outstanding sales from pre-orders or whatever. Look at the comic you had in question...Squadron Supreme, be realistic bruh, that doesn't have anything to do with Spidey or the X-Men or the Avengers or Hulk, etc. Long story short, they aren't gonna put their best people on the project. So they either let new artists tackle it or some old artist that meets deadlines in a timely fashion and can handle the workload. That's another thing, alot of great artists have full plates and/or don't always meet deadlines and that shit fucks over everybody(think Civil War).
So, long story short, I understand why you're mad, but also realize...Chaykin isn't going away anytime soon.

Sometimes an artist like Chankin can give the book a grimy/gritty feel that the writer is going for.
I remember I hated when they let Jae Lee do X-Men/X-Factor "X-ecutioners Song"
But then I saw his work on Namor and Image. Now I appreciated what his art broght to the over all story.
