Actually Hercules, Zeus and co. are from Greek mythos. I'd love to get ahold of those books just to see the hurting she put on him. Dayum!

hmm: yeah, that was his original Greek name, but I guess most just use Hercules because it didn't make sense for him to named after HERA, Zeus's wife that hated his guts

That's why she hated him. The mother (not knowing Zeus was the father) named the baby after Hera in honor of her but Hera it took as a slap in the face.

In the DC universe i believe that both The Roman and the Greek Gods exist. Wasn't that what War of The Gods was about?
If i'm not mistaken Wonder Woman did call him Heracles in the comic.

I remember reading somewhere that at first it was just the Olympians, then one of them got the bright idea of splitting themselves so they could be worship by the Roman, but supposedly the Roman Gods thought that THEY were real and the Greeks were imposters....

I was wondering about that myself........... Maybe monarch doesn't know about him. Maybe seeing as Monarch's strong enough to keep those various superpowers in line, it'll come down to him and SuperMan Prime battling it out.
