yep that shit was terrible. Black Panther got punked with no dialogue. Thor is lame again. Wasp ain't Asian. Realistic fighting gear looks like some lame comic book convention outfits. WACK!!

Then he took Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's oddly close relationship and made it full blown incest. The book is just horrible. It looks good, but Loeb just made a mess of damn cliches.

meh...one of the reasons i liked Ultimates so much was that the story was set in today's world with today's sensibilities and social/political backdrop as part of the story. the art was sometimes photo-realistic, but always cinematic. the costumes were functional with straps, buckles, shoe soles, and wrinkles.

that's exactly what i do....even the Good series that go south...i stop buyin' them shits til i get a good storyline. i prolly average about $20 a week in comics.

Exactly. And I think that was the whole purpose behind the guys at DCP when they started doin' this shit. It wasn't so ninjas would STOP buying comics, it was so you could sample before you buy. They even tell you at the end of every comic to SUPPORT the comic industry.
Another purpose behind the scans was so that people could read up on shit that might be before their time, or just missed in general. How many people here were around when all those classic Thor's posted earlier came out?
I know books are expensive nowadays, and not everything is worth buying, but really, if you love something, you fucking support it.
actually I think alot of scanning started to provide an alternative to reading comics over and over again for comic book collectors. They bag that shit up and read it digitally.
