Batman: Haunted Gotham
Writer: Doug Moench, Artist: Kelly Puckett

The four-part Haunted Gotham gives us a Gotham that is locked away from the rest of the world. It is a giant playpen for demonic forces, and Bruce Wayne's parents and the "Invisible College" have trained Wayne as a champion to fight those evil forces in the guise of a giant bat. The elder Waynes' deaths at the hands of a toothy werewolf triggers the creation of the Batman, who quickly finds himself fighting an undead Joker, the snakelike Lord Ophidian and various forces of Hell. Allies include trusty Alfred, Commissioner Gordon and undercover officer Cassandra Knight, an animated skeleton named Cal and the busty seer Cat Majik.

Writer: Peter David, Artist: Ariel Olivetti

It's the future. The Avengers we know have all retired or died. Their successors are lounging around their high-profile headquarters, waiting for something to happen, and something does. The bomb from overhead kills them all.

And Henry Pym, an aging hero (formerly Ant-Man and Giant Man) who's given up his bygone glories to seek a cure for his increasingly diminutive wife, Janet Van Dyne (The Wasp), gets an unexpected visitor -- Ultron 59, direct descendant of a reoccurring Avengers foe created long ago by Pym. Ultron seeks his "father's" destruction, along with all of the other heroes who have opposed him, and he challenges Pym to gather allies and face him for one final battle.

On Ultron's side are the time-striding Kang, Oddball and the vile Grim Reaper. Pym and his wife recruit a team of peers -- the Human Torch of the former Fantastic Four, the mutant Cannonball, the blind archer Hawkeye and his acrobatic wife Mockingbird -- as well as members of the next generation, such as Hotshot, Bombshell and Jessie, daughter of the missing She-Hulk.

Along the way we learn the unpleasant fates of other Marvel icons such as the FF's Reed Richards and the Thing, the Scarlet Witch, Tigra, Hercules, Thor, Wonder Man, the Hulk and even major bad guy Doctor Doom. Only Peter Parker, once Spider-Man, seems to have found a happy ending for himself, even if he has lost his sense of responsibility and courage along the way.

After a long set-up, the fight itself is almost anti-climactic. There's a lot of death on the field, but it never slows the witty repartee that is the hallmark of a Marvel hero. And the various conclusions which occur seem a little too abrupt, like maybe writer Peter David was told at the last minute to cut several pages from the tale.

Marvel Zombies - Dead Days (One-Shot).cbr 14.53 MB
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RY3K04CW

Reed Richards went out like a punk ass bitch. That mofo went insane. Any chance they had of killing off the zombiefied super beings failed once he infected the rest of the Fanstastic 4 :smh: . I can't wait for the sequel or part 2 to come out when the "new" Galactus meets Thanos(I can see becoming disgusted at being an infected undead instead of being dead period), Adam Warlock??, Tyrant???, Watcher??? Annhilus??? Memphisto???Death itself?? Then the Celestials come in and clean up the mess???

I am also peeping the Army of Darkness vs. Marvel Zombies 5 comic book set. They feature Ash himself one version of him catches it ugly from a zombiefied Howard The Duck

The only things that pissed me off with this zombie shit was the what the fuck happened to the Vision? I thought he was an artificial being so he should have been immune. He had a cameo and that was it. Why was Thor and Hercules allowed to get infected when they battled dead warriors in the underworld. They should have had immunity due to being immortal(can still be killed). How do you infect Sandman???? Why was Ghostrider not immune to the virus. What if Ultrons and the Sentinels were involved(robot/android angle where they just annihilate both living and undead).

I dunno y'all some of this zombie stuff doesn't make sense. How could people like Thor be infect, he's a god. Oh and I'll lose all respect for this series if Thanos becomes a zombie....... How the hell could that happened when he's died many times himself.

Yea, the idea of Colossus being zombied up doesn't make sense. I mean, he's metal! Thor and Hercules can survive hard vacuum and they're gods, they should be immune. Wonder Man is energy, how the hell can he be zombified?

Megatron: Origin
Before allegiance, rank and function—before war—a civilian will become a warrior, a warrior will become a leader. As a leader he will learn of the most powerful weapon on the planet—a weapon powerful enough to bind legions to his will—a faction named DECEPTICON. This landmark story brings the major players of the faction together for the first time in a seminal story for MEGATRON, the DECEPTICONS, and THE GREAT WAR.

Written by Eric Holmes with art by Alex Milne. Coming in May!

I am just speculating about the sequel. That is when the new Galactus who is an assemble of the power cosmic zombiefied Spideman, Ironman, Hulk, Wolverine, Hank Pym, and Luke Cage. They had managed to devour Magneto, The Silver Surfer, then planet eating Big G himself. After they ate Big G they gained his powers. They still seek out flesh first then eat the planet !!!!

Black Panther manages to escape the clutches of Hank Pym who was eating him slowly by keeping him drugged up but alive. He was saving Panther for a snack and was going to snack on him as long as Panther manages to stay alive. He already had ate his forearm and half of one of his legs. He escapes when a zombiefied decapited Wasp helps him and he is rescued by Magneto's Acolytes who have a space station.

Great thread. Thanks for the posts guys. Does anyone have those two wizards after the cap special? Also anyone got the Todd Mcfarlane run on spidey?

One thing we have to remember is that this is an alternate universe. Our Reed Richards would never normally flip out for no reason like that. (Most of his actions are explained in the Ultimate FF/Marvel Zombies Crossover issues.) Plus Alot of the "heros" made a lot of stupid mistakes. I understand that they wanted to tell the story in one issue but they were dropping like flies.

I also agree that "Gods" should have never been turned into zombies. Colosses & Wolverine should have been turned so quickly either. But I guess if Zombies/The Virus can take over The Silver Surfer & Galactus then anything came happen.

They seemed like that just threw this issue together. They had the Zombie Thor holding his emchanted hammer. When in the first series he had a stick with a rock on top of it...lol!

I don't know why they had Magneto say he brought the Virus to humanity when in thw first series it was The Sentry. I read that the writers wanted it to be Superman brought the Virus to the Marvel Universe.

It seems like the Marvel writers and artists were so excited about the concept of turning heroes into monsters, they ignored continuity and common sense.

The best zombie series is still the Walking Dead. It's an excellent story line that focuses on the monstrosity of the humans. The zombies are more of a plot device for deriving the drama.

and also couldn't blackbolt have blasted a major part of those infected i mean honestly there are to many mistakes with this storyline they should have just stopped before they put this to paper. :smh:
