You're entitled to your opiniion.
However, All Star Superman sucked ass...was poorly written...and beyond dumb.

supes carved a key for the fortress out of white dwarf star matter. how can something that's heavier than the planet by that much rest on the planet under a door mat without falling to the earth's center and igniting?

clark kent shoots luthor with a gravity gun. the only person capable of withstanding that is superman. yet, luthor doesn't think it strange that supes would trust anyone with such a world annihilating weapon (a gravity gun could pretty much start a black hole) or that maybe clark is supes? Not even going to talk about luthor with supermicrovision but still can't see clark's dna looks kryptonian and not human while he claims to be able to see the genetic makeup of the universe.

supes is on the moon lifting a couple of kagillion tons?!?
not only is that heavier than the moon (by several billion times) he is standing on, but, how can any machine measure that kind of weight?

in the comic he made shrunken visits to kandor, but, could not restore them to their size? strange, especially since, supes is an ordinary kryptonian like everyone else in kandor. he could shrink and restore himself, but, not other kryptonians?

and most important....luthor after a career of trying to destroy superman succeeds only to decide he should clone him so supes can live again.
so....what was the point of the whole story?

in closing....no disrespect, but, I disagree about the quality of any of grant morrison's work.

I'm not going to go back and forth on this issue because like you said its a difference of opinions but Superman All Stars was good if you look at it as the story of the death of the original superman who was way more powerful than the one seen in the current comics. Originally superman wasn't just way more powerful but a super genius as well add on to that the increase in his powers due to the radiation explosion and it makes sense (in comic terms) how he accomplished those feats. Alo Luthor cloning superman was as much due to him having a his perspective changed about himself when he gained Superman's powers as it was a last attempt to do something good before he was executed.

However lets be real their hasn't been any good stories about Superman in a while. So outside of Morrison who wrote All Star Superman who is DC going to get to write this Reboot (keep in mind I think the reboot is a horrible idea in and of itself)

I'm not going to go back and forth on this issue because like you said its a difference of opinions but Superman All Stars was good if you look at it as the story of the death of the original superman who was way more powerful than the one seen in the current comics. Originally superman wasn't just way more powerful but a super genius as well add on to that the increase in his powers due to the radiation explosion and it makes sense (in comic terms) how he accomplished those feats. Alo Luthor cloning superman was as much due to him having a his perspective changed about himself when he gained Superman's powers as it was a last attempt to do something good before he was executed.

However lets be real their hasn't been any good stories about Superman in a while. So outside of Morrison who wrote All Star Superman who is DC going to get to write this Reboot (keep in mind I think the reboot is a horrible idea in and of itself)

The cartoon and book were awesome. Very well paced and engaging story. Someone will be smart enough to take a good comic story and translate it without bullshit. (Watchmen didn't count since it was never gonna be a popcorn flick. )
