I went back and read what I missed out on and...it's just not as good or tight as 'Annihilation.'
Marvel is already in the process of fucking this (cosmic books) up with Nova on 'Secret Avengers' - Making any interaction that character has with the cosmic realm...murky. This is how it begins...they only put Nova on that book to attract the new readers of the cosmic book into trying out their other Marvel line ups.
Realm Of Kinds was boring...
War Of The Kings had no surprises in it...
Conquest was OK but not strong as it's predecessor...
Annihilation - Is a contender for best storyline ever, IMO.
As glad as a lot of people are to see Thanos...I think it would have been better for Marvel (long run) to have stayed using b-characters to push those books to help make the books feel fresh and new to old and new readers.
Thanos was brought back too soon, IMO.
I just don't like the Secret Avengers line-up period. An you are right on the money about them using the book as a spring board for their less popular characters.

They should of held this off and made it the first mega event of the heroic age.
I half agree, on this but everything it seems has been a buildup to bringing back Thanos. Thanos is LEAGUES more interesting a character than Darkseid, and has the chops to prove it.
The cosmic realm will be frakked over if Rider stays with the Secret Avengers.
It's kinda hard to save the universe and then go back to crooks with guns.
Right now the marvel universe is on some Free Agency shit meaning characters are going to be playing in the wrong position for the wrong team until people realize it doesnt work and they get to do something in books that play to their skills. Nova is great in space but you know someone said "hey Nova, Moon Knight , Antman, and Valkyrie all have some buzz on them and not a lot of baggage. Lets team them up with a vets like steve rogers and solid number two characters like Beast and war machine and see if we get a winner."

I agree but, do it all at once and they end up doing a RESET six months later.
I'm assuming that they didn't use each others arch nemesis in the past was for continuity reasons. They don't have those reservations any more.
