Interesting. I liked the interaction between Ares, his son and Nick Fury.. That whole "I'll let you do you and be a man but i'll snatch you up if you fuck up son" attitude

Man-thing was one of the first things that H.A.M.M.E.R went after.
On a non-cosmic level he is a heavy hitter.
He is actually an anchor for the Marvel Universe. In every reality their is some form of Man-Thing and he in turn is connected to Mykron Crystal...with that said he is also able to distinguish truth from false in all things.
Part of the reason that AoA was dying was because there was no Man-Thing.
If Marvel plays their card right this may read well...not sure how Franken-Castle is going to play out...
I remember when they made Punisher an emissary of angels...shit was trash.

But Frank Castle doesn't deserve to get taken out by a two bit punk like Daken.
The dynamics of this whole book was off on so many levels that it's not even funny.
I won't go into specifics for heads who haven't read the joint but the Punisher has gone toe-to-toe with Wolverine andn held his own more convincingly.

I'd say if old timers like Frank Castle CAN'T be taken out by people like Daken I'd be pissed... as bad ass as punisher is he is still just a regular ole human with a bad ass attitude.. batman and superman did not combine their sperm and inject it into wonder woman to make frank castle..
shit, punisher should be marvel's version of cyborg, a b it of what jim rhodes is all the battles he's been in.
i expect to seem some type of realistic twist in these fantasy worlds.. for instance.. as bad ass as bullseye may be.. deadpool shook him.. and that makes sense.. deadpool coming back to life, regenerating, healing factor, being crazy? even bullseye cant keep up and he was supposed to bitch up

Frank Castle is a combat specialist who's been doing what he does best long before Daken came on the scene.
He's fought the likes of Spiderman and a host of other high profile warriors such as Bullseye, Daredevil and even the original Wolverine so it's not as if the guy is a slouch in the Marvel Universe pecking order of bad ass's.
Even though Daken has a healing factor his arm should've been blown off by the mini-mine Frank attached to his left bicep.
In fact, for all intents and purposes, Daken's only advantages in that battle were his claws and healing factor.
It's not like the faggots bones are laced with adamantium. (or are they?)

That was a major issue for punisher but this is suppose to the first straw that break osborn's back. If they start killing heroes who don't agree with them the real Avengers will have a reason to come back and throw them out of power.
As for frank that was probably the most brutal read i seen in a while (outside of invincible) and while i hope he comes back dude went down like a warrior.

That's not Daken's only power. The longer you are around him the more he works on your will. He releases a pheromone that continues to work on your mind.

I feel u, I don't think that Daken should be able to take down the Punisher on a good day. The Punisher was already bruised from fighting all the dead ppl that The Hood brought back. Plus, he'd already broke his leg and gotten shot. BUT Daken only has a healing factor. His arm shoulda been blown off at the very least.

Stil, much as I like Punisher .... I want to see where they take this Franken-Castle story line. Punisher with super powers, I like the idea.
His pheromone attack wouldn't have worked on Frank Castle especially as the Punisher is so far removed from most human emotion that shagging is probably the furthest thing from his mind.

I agree they should let that be his swan song. You can't go out no better than that. He put up a hell of a fight. This time he had a gang of psycho's backed by the US military intent on killing him, he was over powered and out gunned.
I think Daken was the best choice to take Frank out. The only other person would have been Bullseye and they have too much of a history.
Daken is a perfect assassin, he almost killed Skaar if Banner didn't step in.
I don't think Daken's pheromone powers are just sexual. I would assume he was using signal pheromones, that would have thrown Frank off his game, just a little, and that's all it took.
I'm not too sure about this Franken-Castle though. You would think that Punisher would have some cybernetic parts loooong ago.
His power is not just for shagging. It's an attack on your will. Even if Frank is removed...it still need energy/concentration to be spent on it to keep it at bay.
Mind you - I think Daken is a really bad character.

The setup is pretty good.

Sorry can't eat this. Some of those characters got OBLITERATED in battle when they died. Some of them did not have heads. Some of them should be dust.
How is it that the T-O brings them back...keeps them pretty...and they retain their memory? Nah - That's just too much easy out writing.
It would have been better that the T-O bring them back - damaged but still being able to use their powers and such. Then when Selene kicks in with the magic - allow their spirits or something to speak from their corpse. Something more horrific then pretty dead people.
Another note all T-O virus are inherent Phalanx derivatives so Warlock should be able to wrap this up in a NY minute.

Yeah they tried to turn the Punisher into a Spawn like chracter on the late 90's.
All of those are very good points, and they ran through my mind also. I think The "bodies" are 90% T.O. no real humanity, that's why the don't have the Zombie look. Because Thunderbird has been dead so long he wouldn't even have tissue left but there would be some type of DNA. What you described it exactly what is happening. The T.O. provides the form and Selene provides the spirit. If i'm not mistaken Warlock severed his connection to The T.O./Phalanx/Technarchy before he even joined the New Mutants.
Until they break it down like that and someone posted up that issue. I am not going to be rocking this.
Warlock does not need to be connected to the Technarchy to undo them/it. He showed this in NOVA.
