Anyone knows of a FREE one for the iPAD. The readers I have can't read the .cbr files.
Thanks in advance Fam!

Screw it I just bought comic zeal! LOL

I know Zell riding you but it's worth it in the long run...I used Stanza...which was pretty decent...exceptions were it didn't recognize cbr files over a certain size...so I would have to edit them myself and break them into parts...and it didn't organize your comics so you just had a long list of comic titles you would have to scroll thru...the best they did is let you organize it alphabetically...also you could only delete comics 1 @ a time...ultimately I "broke down" too and got Comiczeal...more convenient experience...God I miss my iPad

^ Yeah but CBR does that shit too for free...so I still don't see the need for the purchase. Shit, Comiczeal is using the same opensources from CBR to do that shit too. :smh: I guess somebody's gotta pay.

Who cares what you feel the need for I wasn't speaking to you :dunno:

Who cares? You care. You responded.

for you iPAD dudes....i've never fucked with an iPAD, how do you get the comics on to the iPAD? i'm sayin'...i heard there's no USB ports...or are there? i be reading comics from my laptop, but i think it'd be more convenient to use an iPAD.

Not shure on the marvel thing I think should not matter fam long if it's in the format it recognizes it should be good. Unless it tells u u downloaded an illeagel comic lol

I'm not a fan of itunes or anything apple but couldn't stand reading cbr's on my netbook and computer anymore. I found a color touch screen ereader/tablet (Cruz reader/tablet) for a $100 that runs droid comic viewer and a few other comic/manga reading programs. Setup is real easy... I just load everything up on a memory card or through the usb port.

Most def...iPad has gotten me back into comix BIG time! I iPadless tho so I may look up that Cruz joint...did you have to do anything to it to be able to use the droid comic viewer or were you able to do that "straight out the box"?

The 7 inch color screen cruz reader/tablet runs off android 2.0 and will never upgrade higher(not an ipad/playbook competitor). The reader ($100) is resistive (stylus friendly but works w/out one) and the tablet($200-250) is capacitive screen. If you are familiar with an ipad it wont feel as great but if you go into it knowing you will use it for reading (comics, manga, kindle, barnes & noble), music and light internet browsing right out the box, it works well esp. for the price. Theres no direct link to the android marketplace but the included app store links to a few other markets allowing you to get most the apps you need. If you want to take it further, theres alot of hacks and a community over at slatedroid that can really make the best of the Cruz. The unit is sturdy, dropped mine a few times already but it doesn't show. For a $100 at best buy, you can't lose

does comiczeal do pdfs also? Also anyoen mind postign some screenshots to let us see how it looks?

I had a Pandigital Novel rooted and was using Comic Reader Mobi but ya being familiar w/ the iPad it didn't come close @ all...it offered a decent experience but I needed my iPad back

Is there a way to download comics posted on here on to the ipad? I have Dropbox and skydrive that I can import from but I have to use a pc to upload them there

i use Atomic Web browser cause it lets you download cbr's, rar's and zip's. once downloaded it'll ask you what app you want to use to open the file. my book reader is Comicglass. it saves the file in comicglass for future use.
