I have a PSC comic book scanner unit from the 90s. It's no longer made but I made some good morning with it. I recently did some work with an older comic store where I help them go digital this baby helped me scan 75% of their books into a text file which I later put into a OpenOffice database for the store.
I heard you can do the same with the iphone but this owner's iphone scanner app did not work at all.
