These are people who "enslaved" and "colonized" black people. They constantly study non white people and they know more about non white people than non white people know about them. I call them racist/white supremacists but other people refer to them as "anthropologists". Usually the "anthropologists" or the racist/white supremacist have more power than the people they study and hence their knowledge-making is a form of theft in which the "anthropologist" or racist/white supremacist gains something for him or herself at the expense of informants. The reality is that "we" are not in no position to stop them (CNN,BBC, etc) from doing what they are doing but all "we" can do for now is point out that their information is designed to maintain and/or refine white global hegemony. oNe!!!
 
You do know that this is a distraction from whats really going on in the world.....you do know that we are headed towards a depression.because i hope you all are informed.
 
I'm torn.

I hate these shows as that they don't really have the substantive discussions they are supposed to have. Having these shows on a major news network like CNN also appropriates the discussion for themselves other than having them owned by the people they talk about.

However, I can hear the complaints if they didn't have shows like this.

Is all exposure good exposure? No.
But do we see any other mainstream news networks doing something like this? No

Y'all look too deep into this. They think black people are watching, and the ratings book probably show that to be the case. There are probably a couple of people driving these stories.

In y'all minds, CNN is some ivory tower shit, you see dudes wearing suits and you figure there are no black voices in the whole building.

Try to think practically. Who do you think works in these joints? Every job at CNN ain't six and seven figures. Takes a lot of people to put these shows together. Manpower. In Atlanta. Think about it.

I support this statement. I have met more people in the last year than my first ten in Atlanta. Still impressed by the genetics, still impressed by my communication skills, still impressed by the knowledge. I mean it's 2010. It's plenty brothas in the A on their A+ game.

It's funny how news organisations like RT a russian network runs programs non stop on black people. CAC love distractions based on caricatures of other races. It does not face me because while these CAC are looking at black people via a microscope theres things happening in their back yard which will turn explosive if not addressed.
 
Just over 20% of CNN viewers are African Americans and the show brings in good ratings, but you are free to your opinions. For disclosure I do work for Turner but not directly to any network, and no I don't know and can't tell you more than anything that they have already released to the public.

You never know. CNN's producers were probably thinking just those thoughts as they laid out the groundwork for this latest "analysis" of black folks.
