CNet rates Vista one of "worst products in history"

I think vista is a very good operating system
the security is great
you don't even need additional anitvirus..
the fact that you can easily take programs out the start up
or stop running programs is great...

had it since feb 2007 no major problems...

before any program runs you get a prompt asking if you want it done
solid operating system

the problme maybe that vista is huge and you need the hardware
I got a core 2 duo processor and 2 gigs of memory so I have no problems...

:lol: I got no problems with it.

Vista named #1 biggest tech disappointment of 2007 -- by PC World

First PC World gets all up on the soapbox that (until a certain date) the MacBook Pro is the fastest PC the mag had tested, but consider the next step taken: PC World has boldly declared Vista #1 with a bullet in in their Biggest Tech Disappointments of 2007. Ok, sure, we get that it's "disappointments" and not "crappy products" -- the two imply very different things, and it's hard not to be somewhat disappointed by any product that took the better part of a decade to come out -- but if PC World harshing on Vista this bad doesn't smack at all of linkbait, well, we don't know what does. Oh, and here's that link.

P.S. -Seriously though, can Vista get a break here? We mean, honestly, it ain't all THAT bad.

Ok, because it seems that alot of you people don´t understand why people especially professionals are complaining about vista. When alot of professionals and the initial testers of vista upgraded from XP they were not about access existing files on their system because of differences in the permissions required in vista. This is a huge issue especially if you dont need all of the flashy bullshit that vista offers (forces on you). Also the issue of having to change hardware such as printers and video cards because vista refuses to support alot of existing hardware. Cost of the upgrade to vista far outweigh any possible benefit it could offer. I bought a new laptop and it had vista on it but because the retailer didnt know how to reset the password on it the laptop was useless to them. My personal reason for buying the laptop was for the Hardware itself. I formatted it and installed Ubuntu Linux. Despite what microsoft says to people Linux is a far more flexible OS and offers more support in the business arena and for the home user.

Alright thats enough of my ranting.

im runnin vista and aint had a problem yet ..i support os x tiger at work also ..and i would take vista over mac os x ..soo ..i dunno what the issue is ..the roll back is for enterprises that have dumbass IT migration plans and didn't fully test there company software with vista before rolling it out
