Nah this wasn't a racial issue. It's a Dolan issue. He's done antics like this with black ppl and white ppl alike. If it were any other franchise owner then maybe it would be but Dolan has a very documented history of being sensitive and controlling to the point of alienating fans and players while destroying the credibility of the franchise.
Alienating? The team is number 1 on the forbes. Dolan is doing his job as an owner.
Yeah he's alienating fans and players. The team is benefiting from the inflated prices in NY and Madison Square Garden's historical appeal. That's where the money is coming from. As far as the product itself, the team has gone from storied and desirable franchise to being the laughing stock of the NBA. No major free agent wants to go there and other free agents who do go there knows they will get ridiculous contracts they couldn't land anywhere else.
