Damn, that a good point.
Is all this shit tied to the tv series "Lost". Because I still don't fuckin' understand that show.
Well... its not technically tied to Lost, but alot of the rumors online talk about the Slusho company which makes a drink under the same name that has been involved in every J.J. Abrams production. Turns out the satellite that crashed in that last scene that either woke the monster up or transported it to Earth belonged to Slusho and its also the same company that the main actor was getting promoted to VP of.
According to the websites, Slusho the drink is made of this sea nectar shit that keeps the drink cold even in hot conditions and makes it addictive as well. Also the company has been doing research on animals: (think about the polar bears on a tropical island in the middle of nowhere in Lost, and the girl who was in love with Desmond whose father owned a gigantic corporation and she was on the message that was sent out after they were Lost), and the animals have been turning from like little gold fish to big monster fish. Thats all I can think of about a connection to Lost, but the polar bear experiment and the company behind Dharma could be Slusho so we shall see what we get.

Cloverfield Ending Credits
These Cloverfield ending were taken from the end credits and from
Cloverfield ending clues found all over the Internet.
At the credits ending of Cloverfield, *spoilers* the audio from the video cam says, "Help us!".
But when played backwards, it says, "It's still alive!" This happens after the end credits
of Cloverfield. Assuming the speaker was Rob, he suggests Cloverfield (the monster)
is still alive. This also suggests a sequel for Cloverfield 2! *Spoilers*
The Japanese oil company TAGRUATO drops a satellite (Chimpanz III) into the ocean as part
of viral marketing (shown at the end of the movie when Rob and Beth were on the ferris wheel).
TAGRUATO works with SLUSHO (a slush company), as the main ingredient for SLUSHO is found
at the satellite dropzone (deep ocean). While searching for satellite and ingredients, they
woke Cloverfield (the monster).
People who were at the party in the beginning of the movie, were seen wearing SLUSHO shirts.
Rob apparently was going to be the Vice President of TAGRUATO in Japan.
The main ingredient of Slusho apparently turns a tiny fish into a HUGE whale in Ganu's (he found the nectar) dream, which explains the size of Cloverfield. *Update* The main ingredient is a deep sea nectar.
*Update* Because the ingredient was discovered on the deep ocean floor, under amazing
pressure and in the most extreme cold, Ganu knew he had to serve the ingredient in a
near frozen state to preserve its freshness. Thus the idea of Slush (Slusho)!
For animals/fishes/insects to survive in the deepest ocean (very high boiling temperature),
they naturally have very high heat resistance. This explains how Cloverfield is able to
withstand numerous bombs and attacks from the army.
Cloverfield refers to the field formerly known as Central Park. Clovers are
usually prone to grow at places after bombing. Thus the term "Clover" and "field" referring to park.
*Update* Slusho is a very addictive drink, with signs of steroid drug like effects. Makes
people stronger, constantly happy, have happy dreams and finally... "SLUSHO
makes my stomach explode with happy!!" (Remember Marlena's stomach?)
I've watched all of Lost. There is no tie in at all so far. I seriously doubt dude wants all his work to be gathered around the same project.Mak, what do you think of the Lost theory? And thats a good backstory, I missed on a couple of things.
its not a could have - all that is from the flick and matt reeves and their viral campaignWtf?Man Abrams is a fucking genius if he ties this movie in with LOST.I never seen the show but the synopsis you dropped makes a lot of sense as to how this creature could have developed.
so a sattelite crashed and woke it up - then it killed the whales- then came out the ocean with parasites that are amphibious too
so extra-terrestrial or just some badass muthafucka from back in the day
leviathan?
did it kill the dinosaurs?
the movie was kinda wack but it could have a better sequel or prequel
pretty stupid if u take into account what energy source is supposed to drive it
looks like a robeast- maybe voltron will come and kill it?
if you leave the cloverfield site up for a while it makes some weird ass noises
IMDB said:Morgan and his friends are on a hunting trip on a remote Canadian island when they are attacked by a swarm of giant wasps. Looking for help, Morgan stumbles across a barn inhabited by an enormous killer chicken. After doing some exploring, they discover the entire island is crawling with animals that have somehow grown to giant size. The most dangerous of all of these, however, are the rats, who are mobilizing to do battle with the human intruders.
thats exactly it - food of the gods with a deep sea volcanic life formI know I'm showing my age here on this one. But maybe this Slusho is kinda like "Food of the Gods" from 1976. I was way too young to watch it when it came out. But once it hit cable. Scared the shit outta me.

I keep thinking this creature is looking for something. Like maybe an egg or its mate or baby?
