In the chaos of the 2016 campaign, would a vice president for life, or at least for a third term, be a fixture of stability for the United States?

Decades ago the vice president was little more than a ceremonial position, cut out from discussions in the Oval Office, and a dead-end political appointment. As Vice President Joe Biden famously told Steven Colbert, "there is no inherent power in the vice presidency."

Then things started to change. Vice presidents ran for the highest office in the land. Dick Cheney cultivated the position into a shadow presidency, wielding far more power than his predecessors. People started listening to what they had to say, including the president.

In his seven plus years serving President Barack Obama, Biden has gained more than a few fans for his honesty and candor. He's told reporters he's having a good time, so some are asking, why not stick around?

Following his decision not to run for president this election cycle, some Biden backers are calling for the vice president to consider another option — an unprecedented third term as VP. There is no constitutional amendment that prevents a vice president from serving more than two terms.

Ronald Feinman is among those calling for another term for Biden. Feinman, author of "Assassinations, Threats and the American Presidency: From Andrew Jackson to Barack Obama," says Biden is a natural candidate for the job, again.

If elected -- and that's a huge if --Bernie would be the best president in recent memory if democrats would show in midterms to give him the support he needs. He actually is on major drug reform. That is shit that should have been done 20 years ago..

Hillary? She was with Bill when he helped to lock black people up for non-violent crimes and the drug war.

I can't believe all the Black people who even volunteered themselves to go to South Carolina and help Bill campaign for hillary.

Too many black people are scared of a Repub slipping into the White House. Clinton's team has been going in trying to convince everyone that SHE is the only person who can beat the Repubs. Nevermind the fact that she is corporate sell-out and most likely wouldn't be any better than any Republican who got elected.

That's been the Democrat playbook since the Civil Rights Bill got signed.If they didn't have us on this lesser of 2 evils bullshit, they would have lost plenty of elections without the automatic Black vote that they don't even have to honor.

You would think in Blue states and cities Black people would be living better but we still suffering from the same ills as Blacks in GOP controlled areas.

And that's the problem. Dems and Progressives are all talk. They expect who ever the President is to fight by himself.

In 8 years where are the new progressive and occupy movement congressmen, senators and governors?

How can Warren and Sanders or anybody get anything realistically done when the Congress is still filled with corporate whores who have been there for 20 years?

What's the alternative when it comes to the Dems? The old white woman who doesn't care about black people either? Who's husband, the former President, signed a crime bill that incarcerated thousands of black men and women? The old white woman who's in the pockets of the Big Banks and Big Pharm? The one who shitted on Obama and used thinly veiled racial attacks when they were both running? The one who laughs off any question she doesn't want to answer?

I'm not saying Sanders is the savior of the country. But between him and Clinton? I'll go with Sanders.
