It's always OK for a team to cut a player, trade etc and only have the decency to tell them over the phone or even worse let them find out through the media but we sit here and call that business, but as soon as a player takes that power in his own hand and makes a business decision essentially it's looked at as a cardinal sin. I don't get it.

It's a business decision from both sides at the end of the day and you best believe a team, a CORPORATION at the end of the day is gonna do what's in its best interest when the time comes so why can't a player.
