I'm 100% sure most of them were mad that he was leaving regardless of how he handled it, they act as if they were doing him a favor when it was actually he who put Cleveland back on the map, and look what happened after he left.

That's what Im trying to tell you,if Lebron would of said he's leaving Cleveland because he felt he couldnt win a championship(without the sideshow)here....The majority of fans,would of be upset for a few weeks but would of gotten over it and cheered for him in the NBA Finals

tell me where or how you know that this town was "unappreciative"? yea... EVERY pro athlete gon get criticized by they home town at some point. the city did a lot for HIM also.

and for the record its BOTH sides faults... the ownership was too scared of him leaving and gave him TOO MUCH power in the city... then lebron wanted to play GM and try to get players that were "over the hill" and his childish antics didnt help either...

There is nothing to support your NBA theory. Zero. Nada. Nothing. The same things were said about MLB and the NFL when players were given freedom of movement.

1st, Miami is a small market. When Riley came down here there was a ton of speculation he wouldn't be able to replicate his success in LA and NY in this backwater. It's around 15th as far as media market.

2nd, where was your indignation when the Lakers were writing $92M in checks ? when Mark Cuban was stroking huge checks and paying Luxury Tax ? Last year's Mavs enjoyed a $20M higher roster cost over the Heat. If anything, talented players taking less money would seem to be a plus for small markets.

When last season started and all the gnashing of teeth and chicken little wailing about life being over as we know it was deafening, I was saying other clubs attempting to replicate Miami's Big 3 would fail. It took Miami getting down to a single contract, two years of patient and diligent trading and attention to detail. Those 3 are in Miami because they believe the Heat are capable of surrounding them with the pieces using severely limited payroll.

Teams will be unable to duplicate what Miami did because they will have to do it with existing contracts and players and the new CBA makes it even harder. You know who could afford Miami's payroll last season ? Every team.

What you're missing is LeBron would still be in Cleveland if the franchise was competent. All three of those guys gave half a career to the clubs that drafted them. Players will still give their rookie and "make my money" second contract to teams. Here's an idea, give them a reason to stay.

There have been 9 teams winning the title in the last 30 years. 3 had by far the majority of them. Exactly where is all this parity the Heat messed up?
