Classic Commercials

In the 1980s, Maxell became an icon of pop culture when it produced advertisements popularly known as "Blown Away Guy" for its line of audio cassettes.
These commercials showed nearly the same image as the print ad, but with the chair, a drink and nearby lamp all being pushed away from the stereo by the strong force of the sound waves, though the man calmly catches his drink before it slides off the end table. Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" was used for music.

Rosemary Clooney did television commercials for Coronet brand paper towels, during which she sang the memorable jingle, "Extra value is what you get, when you buy Cor-o-net."

"Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific" was a popular 1970s and 1980s shampoo brand from the Andrew Jergens Company, famous for its distinct, pungent floral-spicy scent, often described as smelling like daisies and sunshine. Commercials typically featured men enthusiastically sniffing women's hair, highlighting the product's long-lasting, attractive aroma.
