Claressa Shields vs Danielle Perkins PPV is on right now 2/2/25

Now, I will say, I didnt think their weight difference was THAT big, however after looking at their history I found that:

Claressa has fought from 154 to 177

KT has fought from 130 to 140......

For the bag, make it a catchweight fight, say 147 - 150

Claressa already has to drop from 175 to the 150s - 160s range for her next fight, (probably for most fights moving forward.) Just to find some decent competition.

Katie is the p4p #1 ranked women's fighter

Claressa is the #2.......

KT is 39, Claressa is 30 and planning to have kids soon.

Lets not miss this window/ opportunity.

Yeah there is the chance of a Laila Ali fight, but Ali is 47 right now and hasn’t fought in like 15 years..... does she really get any "stripes" or "points" on her record if Claressa beats on Laila?

Also Laila last fought at 159..... what's her "walk around" weight? Is she still in decent shape? 15 years from the ring, will she want a "tune up" fight? Does she need a 8 - 12+ week camp vs the normal 6 week one?
Lol man you know this makes too much sense for them to make it happen

Time for the Main Event :boxing:
Clarissa better knock this chick out.
They kept saying the New Zealander was a boxer 1st, not brawler...she used to be a big girl trimmed down due to her sport. Probably why her smaller size didn't matter. She just wasn't punching Look at how many misses my future wife was throwing...running happens but in this case it seemed to be a game plan. Props to her that she made it to the end

I hear ya, Claressa definitely shouldn't be fighting or trying to fight Laila. The woman's almost 50 and been retired for damn near 20 years. That's just pointless.

And I'd like to see Katie and Claressa fight, it's just the weight. Yeah they could probably make it a catch weight if they really wanted to. But I don't think that Katie really wants to.
Laila would eat her punches unfortunately..if a shorter New Zealander (Samoan) can deal, it isn't a good look for my future wife.
