When their head of state visits the U.S., they are not expected to bow or follow any protocol that is demeaning to them. The Revolutionary War was about the U.S. being coequal with Britain rather than a branch.
Yeah, yeah, I agree; but when you’re in someone else’s house, unless it’s really extreme, you kinda follow their rules/protocol. I don’t come to your house and disrespect you; and you damn sho don’t come to mine with disrespect either.
We all have some shit that others might find rather peculiar. Us finding ways to deal with and respect each other’s peculiarities is just common courtesy.
