RIP.

Thank you for sacrificing your life so that we could live ours........

Maybe you should have invented a phone to get a sticky on bgol

:smh::smh::smh:

A few years ago I visited the Civil Rights Museum in Bham. Outside of the museum is a statue of the Rev. I recognized the name, but I didn't know how important he was to the struggle. As a student of the struggle I decided to do my homework. I learned that this brother was kicking ass long before anybody knew who MLK was. Thanks to the OP for posting this. Maybe this will encourage somebody to pick up a book and learn the truth about this brother and others like him.

Damn... R.I.P. :smh:

And yes, sticky this. A damn shame Black Girls Online will sticky Steve Jobs before Fred Shuttlesworth.

R.I.P. I saw Reverend Shuttlesworth on many programs and in archival footage. We are better for having had brothers and sisters like him to lead the movement.

Damn that dude would show these thugs nowadays what tough is.

RIP Mr.Shuttlesworth and thank you

There is no way I could ever thank you brother Shuttlesworth. Your fight on earth is done. May you rest in peace.

Sleep well my brotha... you understood what sacrifice is... you understood what the price of freedom is.... and you paid both prices without hesitation ....

Bump for you...

Would they reminisce over you?

If nothing is faster than the speed of light, why can't it escape a black hole?

Thank you sir for taking the beatings, the spitting, the hose, the dogs, the police, the racists, the race traitors, the cowards, the apathetic masses... thank you for the strength to open my eyes and think I am free

What is the value of a person? Their deeds, their actions, what they stand for... not what you place in your pocket, or what you say ... its what you do...

This man did a lot for his people....

I quoted/asked HNIC to sticky this thread in the Steve Jobs thread.....never got a response.
