I know I'm late and all y'all got 4k curved smart tvs with ULTRA-AMOLED 3D HD, but I don't :hmm:

I don't have cable TV or internet. I use FoxFi on my Galaxy S5(still got Verizon unlimited).

I have my laptop connected to my Sony Aquos via hdmi cable, the cable is getting a shortage that's getting worse and I'm tired of wiggling it around to watch the 5150 show on YouTube. Also, I use

Before I go 3.4 miles to my local Wal-Mart to spend $35 on Chromecast, what are some alternatives that don't involve downloading bloated software, having to sign up & remember yet ANOTHER username & password, give out my email address, or more bullshit?
 
You could order two new HDMI cables from monoprice for $5 or $6.

Speaking of Chromecast, i recently got a update to my SHOWBOX app and now it won't stream to my Chromecast anymore. The option is not even there, it tries to automatically play on my phone. Anyone else have this problem

Best Buy is offering extra shit when you buy the Chromecast. COstco will give you a $10 Play credit if you buy it from there.

i have the updated version on my phone and tablet and it works fine. I didnt have to download anything extra. Sometimes you just need to clear the app cache.

Also, Chromecast + Cast2TV or Showbox = no need to have cable.

you can get the HD Cinema joint or keep Showbox and download Growbox which will let you Cast

allcast is for local stuff and these types of streaming apps. Cast2tv doesnt require anything else, except chromecast, and thats optional. It doesnt play thru an additonal app.

Dowload HD Cinema...its just like if not better thtan showbox and wi. Stream to chromecast via localcas. Or Webcast apl
 
I use foxfi on my Galaxy S5 to tether my unlimited data from Verizon. ...but in order for the Hotspot to work wifi has to be turned off. Can't have the Hotspot on and the WiFi on at the same time. So I use my 2nd Galaxy S5 to connect to the Hotspot, install chromecast, and some of the other stuff tall mentioned in here (allcast, cast2tv, plex, & HD cinema)

I still need to play with it some more to figure it out, but it good to finally get my life together :D

I downloadd this and it's good but Showbox has more movies. I can't even get Showbox to play anymore. It just says "movie can't be played, try another servr". Anybody have a .apk for Showbox so i can delete and reinstall it
 
No, I have unlimited data if I use it on my phone. I have 5 gigs of WiFi hotspot/tethering. So I can use my phone as a hotspot and cast movies to my tv, but only 5 gigs worth per month.

Are you sure that the original download isn't still in your phone's download folder?

I've had to do this myself in the past when I was getting the same message, unless you specifically deleted it it should still be there.
 
Y'all are posting apps to cast from phones & tablets, but I need something to cast FREE SHIT from my laptop. My phone's battery has a problem charging.
