Allow me to reiterate what I stated in a previous thread, Christina CAN sing, no doubt about it (If you heard Herbie Hancock's album, people would know). The tribute to Soul Brother #1 was on point and his MC placing the cape on the stand was the best! My point of contention is that I think Ms. Keys could've done it better IMHO! The tribute was not long enough. If that was an Elvis tribute that night, we would still be watching The Grammys! That's all I'm saying!

When someone screams while their singing to make it like their tearing the song up ala Christina Aguilera. And adlibs a million times (some church singers). Ok, I understand now. I thought when singers scream and adlib like that, it was because they were really getting into the song rather than keeping the song simple and formalistic. So basically singers like Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin "oversing", according to what you told me.
