He could've taken any script he wanted and been paid doing it for the next few years but choose to only do 3 movies in 12 years... If he can pay this off without going back to work and be comfortable then more power to him. If he starts making movies again, we know he wasn't as smart as he thought he was.

He made $20MM for Rush 2 & no points on the gross (The studios were NOT happy with him trying to strong arm even taking more than Jackie Chan who was doing a majority of the stunt work and coordination, and that's why they iced his ass and no one sent him scripts).
Rush 3 he got less + gross points on the film.
Before then he was only in the $1-3MM a film range.
He's probably grossed on in the $60-70MM range if you factor in any royalties and his stand-up routine before hitting it big in film.
Factor in agent, lawyer, accountant, PR, and unpaid taxes - he probably netted $40MM for his entire career.
