In the largest corruption case in China’s history, the Chinese government executed Li Jianping on Tuesday. Jianping, a former official in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, was sentenced to death after being found guilty of embezzling over three billion yuan (approximately $421 million).

The execution was ordered by China’s Supreme People’s Court and carried out by a court in Inner Mongolia, according to the Xinhua News Agency. Jianping, 64, had served as secretary of the Communist Party working committee for the Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone. His death sentence was initially issued in September 2022 and upheld on appeal in August 2024.

Xi Jinping’s anti-corruption drive

Since coming to power in 2012, President Xi Jinping has made anti-corruption a key part of his governance. Official reports state that over a million party officials, including two defence ministers and several military leaders, have been punished or prosecuted under the campaign.

In a speech to the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection plenary session in January, excerpts of which were published in the party’s theoretical magazine Qiushi, Xi called on officials to take a bold stance against corruption. He warned against interest groups undermining the Communist Party and emphasised the need for what he termed the party’s self-revolution.

Despite ongoing efforts, corruption cases involving high-ranking officials continue to rise. According to the South China Morning Post, the CCDI investigated 45 senior officials, or tigers, last year. This year, the figure has already climbed to 54.

Xi’s anti-graft measures have drawn international attention, particularly in the military. While the campaign has been praised for tackling systemic corruption, critics argue it has also helped consolidate Xi’s power.

They are trying to rehabilitate CEO image on white controlled media. Brian Thompson was trying to change the image of the company, a force for good. We need a white Gayle King, talking about your rape accusations after you died horrifically in a helicopter crash with your daughter.

Here, even after being worth many millions of dollars was trying to insider trade to grow his wealth at the expense of investors. If he was willing to do that risk insider trading, I'm pretty sure he was behind these inhumane insurance practices. He wasn't this Aw shucks Iowa boy.

I know for a fact, that's how they would do me 100%, with no fucks given. After causing harm to me or stealing, they immediately accuse me of being a criminal.

There is constant oligarch propaganda all over the place, showing the white wealthy as the good guys, when many are common criminals.

Many of the people that are giddy about his death for denying claims, I am not in their camp unless he was denying claims in violation of the law.

I am, however, not going to participate in his rehabilitation of his image that we would never have if he violated criminal law based on my own experience. Kobe, Jay Z, Beyonce, Mike Tyson or any other black celebrity, their crimes will be prominently talked about no matter how much philanthropy they do or if they help abused children.

He stole from pension funds like teachers or firefighters, state retirement fund like CALPRS, your 401(k) is less in value because of what he did. People like him want to create a stock market where inside traders rise to the top and those unable to get this information are stratified to the bottom. He took a small piece from millions of people that you wouldn't even notice, but it adds up to a large amount.

Here you are risking your life to fight fires, or taking on the most dangerous criminals, or teaching children, and this clown is siphoning money off of you when he was already rich, but greedily wanted more. He did not need the money to feed his children or to provide for himself.

This Iowa farmboy image is public relations garbage, he was a criminal he had no business holding an investor meeting in New York. Kobe died horrifically in an accident burned alive with his daughter, the accuser was handsomely compensated for what happened to her which she willingly accepted.

I spoke to somebody in China and asked them about what they would do to Brian Thompson. Would they try to rehabilitate his image as a family man with humble beginnings coming from Iowa that was trying to be a change agent for good in the company?

They said they would accuse him of being corrupt with his insider trading schemes and execute him to set an example.

I asked him about people stealing intellectual property from me and using it to advantage themselves with insider trading or to avoid public humiliation for being feeble minded. He said they would suffer the same fate, a death sentence would be handed down to them for stealing and being incompetent.

Not only did he avoid these massive losses, but gave an advantage to other people such as people trading on insiders selling shares which is public information. They were able to short the stock or dump shares based on observing his activity further causing damage. There's no telling who else he told this information to that gave them an advantage, if he tried to sell this information to other people. By insider trading these shares with the chairman he was engaging in organized criminal activity, cementing his place as CEO and leveraging this organized criminal activity for further gain with his compensation.

You can see it has broader impact insider trading.

I’ve never seen a black person advocate the killing of another black person and not assume they are white. I hate Diddy, R. Kelly and Bryon Donald—never once called for them to be executed. Now, this is uniquely separate from a ninja carjacking, robbing you or breaking into someone’s crib while they’re home—OFF his ass. But this example….mad suspect.
