Does batter dipping them work better than flour dipping them?

BTW, this is my secret seasoning. Wash, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprica and this. Dip in 2 scrambled eggs, then in flour, fry til brown and boom. They have discontinued this seasoning twice. First it was santa fe, then it was tex mex chili, and now it is gone as far as I know. I bought like 8 bottles last I saw it. I e-mail McCormic and they said it was gone. :( My chicken won;t be the same

make your own. read the spice blend on the side of the bottle and experiment with it until you get the blend the way you like it.
 
some great ideas in here, i'll pass em on to the old lady. me, i buy a bag and let her have at em. don't know WHAT the hell she puts in em but I usually end up biting a finger because they are so good.
 
Easy recipe for hot wings that will make you slap yo mama.
Get a bag of wing dings,clean them spinkle with a little season salt.
Heat cooking oil which ever kind you prefer and dropem in.
While wings are fryin make your sauce.In a pan place about a quarter stick butter,a cup of hot sauce and a cup of honey heat them to a boil and take off heat.When wings are done place on paper towel to drain excess grease,then put them in your sauce.Stir them in sauce getting them well coated and bam there you have it.
And if you like them extra hot sprinkle a lil cayenne in your sauce.
 
Good thread concept/idea Tuckdog. I saw this post and went to epicurious.com and did a search for "wings" and they have hella ideas and recipes on there that sounded good. Check it out when you have the time.

I have been using that site for years.. you can set up a recipe box to store recipes you run across on there that you like and keep them online for future reference.

Thats a very nice deep fryer in that video. I wish I ate fried food, I'd pick up one of those.
 
here is my recipe that i use when i want to make wings

season your wings up to your likings then deep fry, bake or grill whichever you prefer.

for the sauce

1. bottle of hickory bbq sauce
2. 1/2 cup of white sugar
3. 1/2 stick of butter
4. about a half bottle of hot sauce
5. tbsp of lemon juice
6. tbsp of yellow mustard

bring all the ingredients to a boil in a sauce pan just to give the sugar and butter time to melt. toss the wings in the sauce. after tossing in the sauce you can throw them in a 350 oven for 10 minutes but that is optional.

take the left over sauce from your pot and freeze it for the next time.
 
Awright I got the illest recipe for fingerless chicken wings (NEXT LEVEL SHIT FOR THE CIVILIZED)! This is a buffalo chicken wing dip which you can use with nachos, but it works best with pita bread baked with some olive oil and garlic. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll post it. It's everything you would taste eating chicken wings without getting hands dirty. My girl made it to make sure I don't dirty the remotes trying to hit that rewind on the DVR! LMAO!
 
I got to try that garlic gingers wings ASAp, here' some boneless joints i made the other night.. same method, clean with lemon i did the double dip on these though with egg and skin milk for the extra crunch. Deep fried then coated with honey bbq suace and texas pete hot sauce in a pan.. then baked for 15 minutes..:yes::yes::yes:

Here it is:


Buffalo Chicken Dip
8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened or whipped
1/4 cup ranch salad dressing
1/4 cup blue cheese salad dressing
1/2 cup buffalo sauce or buffalo style barbecue sauce
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (My girl uses fresh crumbled mozzarella cheese ...mmm)
1 whole rotisserie chicken already made or you can make it yourself. (don't be afraid to get your hands dirty here, just dig in and get every piece off the bone)
1/4 cup of shredded carrots 1/4 cup of diced celery (finely diced) Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. In a deep baking dish, mix cream cheese, salad dressing, buffalo sauce, and about half of the cheese (just eyeball it). Stir until combined. Stir in chicken and veggies.
Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, then take out and throw in the other half of the crumbled fresh mozzarella. Put the pan back in the oven and set the oven to broil until the cheese melts and is slightly crisp. Serve with crackers, pita chips, sliced bread or vegetables.
NOTE: Depending on your tastes and the ingredients on hand, you can use 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese salad dressing rather than 1/4 cup of each. Similarly, you can mix blue cheese and mozzarella, or use portions of each.

For the pita, it's simple. Buy some pita bread

This one's the best but it's hard to find.

Slice them into squares and bake at 250 degrees with a little olive oil and fresh minced garlic for 10-15 minutes just to warm them.

This eliminates all the mess and the dip is monstrous!

that sounds like it taste great but looking at that combo of ingredients if i at that i would only be able to listen to the game unless i had tv's in my bathroom
 
Clean the wings, drop them in a paper bag little salt and ground pepper shake and make sure wings are coated don't over do the seasoning though. Drop them in your deep fryer until you get your desired crispiness.
Have a bowl of

chilled and on the side. Immediately after taking out of fryer drop then in the

until fully coated. Let them bad boys rest on a plate and serve. Every Saints game we catch in L.A. I have to go back to the store to buy more wings because they eat em' up too fast. :yes:

GARLIC PARMESAN CHICKEN WINGS

INGREDIENTS


  • [SIZE=-1]
  • 2 pounds chicken wings (approx. 15)
  • 3 heads garlic, separated into cloves and peeled
  • 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
  • 10-15 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs[/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Place garlic, 1c. oil and Tabasco in food processor or blender. Process until smooth; pour into small bowl. Combine cheese, crumbs and pepper in shallow dish. Dip wings in garlic mixture and then roll in crumb mixture until thoroughly coated. Brush shallow, non-stick pan with remaining oil (1T). Arrange wings in single layer. Drizzle remaining garlic mixture over wings. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 45-60 minutes at 450° F until brown and crisp. [/SIZE]

- Red pepper flakes
- And some water
Bring it to a boil and pour it over your wings mix and let it soak, then in the oven for 5-10 mins. :dance:
