Thanks for this post. If I lived in Chicago I would be telling someone about this place. I usually do not go out to eat. But I would try to go there regularly.
Today I stopped by Sally's which I think was a black owned store starting out. This was my first time in years going in there. All the years I have known it to be there it always had blacks working there. Today it was 2 older white ladies. I do not know if they own it, or are just working there.
This looked like a family owned restaurant with family members working there. Hope I am right. If so we need more of this. Something I would want to do if I had the money to start one. We need more blacks into things like this. How many black owned gyms we have? When we have rich blacks, these are the things we should be seeing them do.
I wonder if Farrakhan has been by this restaurant yet or if he knows about it. They should start selling bee pollen, and vegan groceries and supplements. Maybe they could get bigger than Wholefoods. Because these Wholefoods markets are making a killing.

Oakland has a similar restaurant called Souly Vegan in Jack London Square.
