'Drunk' college student, 19, crashes into a parked police cruiser while sending a topless Snapchat to her boyfriend
A college freshman was arrested Wednesday night, after drunkenly crashing into a cop car while Snapchatting a topless photo to her boyfriend.
Miranda Kay Rader, 19, was driving in Bryan, Texas around 8:30pm when she rear-ended a police cruiser parked outside of a residence, where there had been a disturbance call.
Bryan Police Officer John Sartell said he heard 'a vehicle braking very hard' so he ran back to his car where he found Rader's SUV smashed into his own.
When he approached Rader's Acura, he noticed that the Texas A&M freshman's bra was 'unclasped' and that she was 'attempting to put a black blouse on'.
He asked Rader why she 'was not dressed while driving' and she said that she had been 'taking a Snapchat photo to send to her boyfriend while she was at the red light'.
In a further search of the car, Sartell found an opened bottle of wine in the center console.
Rader admitted that she drank about a quarter of the bottle at a friend's house and was driving back to her dorm. Bryan is a neighboring town of College Station - where Texas A&M is located.
The teen agreed to perform a field sobriety test, which she failed. Sartell arrested her with driving while intoxicated and Rader was booked in the Brazos County Jail, where her blood was drawn. She was later released after posting $2,000 bail.
In addition to the misdemeanor charges, Rader was also cited with being a minor in possession of alcohol.
Rader's Facebook profile shows she was a cheerleader in high school.
