First and foremost...everyone is "mixed"...in a sense. You'd be hard pressed tryna find anyone thats 80% of anything now ah days.

Theres exceptions....but due to how Men and Women interact... usually Black Father/White Mother breeds a mulatto child thats more aware. But Black Mother/White father usually breeds a dumbfounded child that is raised by a bitter/low self esteem having Black Women...a Woman who absorbs the characteristic of her White mate. The child in the video has hope, because she see a Black Man thats about business......but the child with the bitter Black Mother/White father is destined to be a tragic mulatto...lol

There are folx on both sides who date out that have issues. Some are color struck and self hating some are not. Of the biracial folx I've interacted with or have shared stories on line and who have had issues, most of those issues have been because they were led to believe that they were somehow "above" or superior to other blacks, were supposed to have a charmed life, and found out that outside of their immediate family or someone equally as deluded, this was not the case. The "one drop rule" is alive and well in the minds of folx. There were also the kids of an interracial union that were "too dark", you couldn't tell they were mixed and had problems feeling accepted and welcomed amongst their lighter siblings or white family members. Of children from black male/white female relationships, you hear often of biracial girls with kinky hair that go through hell because the family doesn't know how to care for it and are made to feel bad about themselves and their features, or envy her mothers hair.
Growing up I had cousins that lived out of state. Identical twins down to everything but the hair. One had kinky hair, one had straighter/wavy hair. All the pictures I saw the one with the kinky hair looked half combed/broken off/ damaged. I was too young to question it at the time, I don't know why no one ever took the mother aside and teach her how to care for her hair. Black father, white mother, kids still had issues. Luckily this is changing and for the younger folx this stuff isn't going to be much of an issue.
There are well adjusted biracial kids and there are some that had problems growing up, but I refuse to believe all the well adjusted ones came from a home with a black father.
