It's all unwritten rules, but I do think at some point there was more adherence to these unwritten rules than now, but even saying that I don't think it was to the level people portray it to be. Basic human psychology will tell us that self preservation and survival is always first so that alone creates more people that would snitch than not. Either way it's retarded for anyone not doing crime to even consider this shit as a normal part of thinking and that's unfortunately what we have in Black culture.
