I Am Not Charles Hamilton

This kid is definitely not Soulja boy! Jimmy Iovine’s newest signee produces and writes all of his own music and plays multiple instruments at the young age of 20. After listening to his music, we've come to one of two conclusions. He's either:

1. The future of hip hop
2. A final throwback from the past

Here's the latest song from his lab, entitled "Windows Media Player". Leave a comment and tell us what you think.

What y'all think???

Hah.. "Windows Media Player"... shit is dope, but you gotta be a computer geek to appreciate it :hmm:

interesting , different , witty even, not feeling it though. the hook is extra shitty. I'll reserve my final judgement until i hear a few other songs.

ive heard a few songs from dude.. not really feeling it to be honest. Maybe i need to give it another listen but there wasnt anything about his music that really grabbed me.

People are hyping this dude up crazy tho *shrugs*

He'll have some niche fans and openly accepted by the rejected, displaced, and quirky rap fans but will probably not be embraced by the Urban community at large.

He's just too geeky to be cool ...

Come on y'all. Can the NON THUGS finally get some SHINE?

Dude look like he got Lipstick on tho... Homo Hipsters

I fuck w/ the kid because he's a student of the music.
He's serious about his craft and he's not afraid to be portrayed as intelligent.

Some of the songs I've heard are cool and others are creative but kinda corny to me. Still, more power to the youngin.

If you are going to quote me quote the similies also. When dude from Jungle Bros was posted a similar joke was made and no one went:hmm:It was a joke on Lil Mamma's wack ass song over yer head I see. Some people are so thirsty they look for shit that ain't even there. Man I been here. I know the game.

It aint that serious and I don't know about all that Jungle Brothers stuff ...but how you gonna say that mans lips are poppin?

The picture says a thousands words. I just told a sarcastic joke while expressing some disgust as well. But as you said it ain't that serious.

pretty cool. Flow is cool, creative. I don't know bout the future of hiphop though. Hiphop has no future.

Dude's style is extra off the wall, but he cool in my book. Yall nedd to listen to Brooklyn Girl.

And why was niggas lookin at his lips?

Ever since Pac and Biggie died, the rap world has been super quick to crown people the "future" of whatever without allowing them the time and space necessary to grow as artists. This has only become accelarated by A) the internet's constant media feed and B) the shallow ass talent pool that's in the game today that's got fans thirsty to accept any artist as "great" when, in reality, they're just mediocre son.

This Charles Hamilton kid is cool, but he is overrated like a muthafukka. Son has got to put in more work before he gets any title in my book. How many times have we seen the same hype machine that builds up an artist crush them before they every truly get on? Anybody remember Shells? What about Ali Vegas? How about Posta Boy? How's Papoose doing these days, huh? You already know.

yeah, cuz BIGGIE put in SOOOOOO much work with his TWO albums:hmm::hmm:

Been feelin Charles Hamilton. His flow is different. I appreciate it. I got a feeling he will pop. A lot of kids are going the same way he is. To call him the future is a little much though.

Btw can someone define a Backpacker for me?

It's not like he's appealing to the 25+ crowd but if I were a high school/ college student in this current era I'd probably be listening to some of his shit over Wayne or SoljaBoy.
