Charles Barkley: LeBron James will never be a top-five NBA great

SHE IS WHAT SHE IS, is a confirmed troll. She rode Golden State dick the entire bball season and proclaimed it the "Steph Curry" era. Since Sunday she's made at least 4 LeBron threads and hasnt mentioned Steph Curry once. She likes to hop on the bandwagon of winners. At the same time, she's from Philly and is a huge Kobe stan so she likes to troll LeBron fans. I've never seen her troll Kobe fans in my life, even this season when the Lakers were trash. Everyone on BGOL knows her agenda, and no one should take her seriously at this point.

Tallblackchi took Massdagod's spot as Michael Jordan dickrider #1. She's very insecure about LeBron passing up MJ to the point she tries to belittle his accomplishments while having every excuse in the book for why MJ got swept by the Celtics or needed rules changes to get by the Pistons. Everytime LeBron wins a title, her soul dies a little. She references the Dallas series a lot because LeBron the last 5 years >>>> MJ at any point.
Wow.
It is what it is seems pretty cool
We need some disagreement around here or else this place would be boring as hell
Truth be told, I started looking at Jordan more objectively from reading your posts
I spent the first part of my life in Chicago, then moved to Miami.
Love Jordan
But i love The NBA even more.
I actually thought Kobe would be the evolution of basketball. Didn't happen
LeBron went against the Pistons and scored I think 25 straight.
I couldn't believe it
I said that night Jordan never did THAT
With what LeBron did in this year's finals has never been done before
To me, LeBron is on the Rushmore.
Prototype player

What doea that have to do with LeBrons disappearing axt in that finals?

Whats the difference between LeBrons smedium peeformance against Dallas and Stephs performance this year?

Ah the old answer a question with a question...nigga I'm on 10 all summer let's go...

It has everything to do with LeBron putting on THE FINALS PERFORMANCE OF A LIFETIME compared to WHAT HAPPENED FIVE YEARS AGO!!! LeBron was not the unanimous MVP nor have the greatest regular season record of all time going into Dallas so that's the difference there. LeBron is obviously a man that learns from his mistakes and is capable of applying what he learn from one place and applying to another. Niggas wanted to say he would also take a hit as a GM if he failed in the Finals this year but since he succeeded he actually should get some type of award as an executive. Even Jordan didn't have GM duties

Absolutely... He definitely did, but tou (not YOU) but anyone, csnt glorify his success and make ezcuses foe his failures. Basically, in my opinion he is sort of one dimensional offensively, and the Mavs clogged the lane and didnt allow him to play bully ball. He was able to have his way with GS because they were so soft in the middle. The Mavs series is more of an indictment on his lack of a plan b than what they were doing...
You might be right about this
But if Dallas was getting killed from three they would have changed up.
At the end of the day, no matter why, LeBron and the Heat lost that Finals.
2016 looked like this

Now you ignoring my answers in the post???? Ok

Thats not answering my question... What LeBron did after that series doesnt answer anything. Stephs resume doesnf answer the question, unless your saying Steph now is better than LeBron was then? What is the difference between LeBrons bad performance against Dallas and Stephs bad performance this year? Series performance against series performance... Basic question Bruh

I'll quote from my original post:

LeBron was not the first ever unanimous MVP nor have the greatest regular season record of all time going into Dallas so that's the difference there.

So was he not known as the best playwr in the world then? So, your saying that Steph this year was a better player than LeBron that year so LeBron being the lesser player, less was expected of him?

And not sure what a team record has to do with it but I guess you had to reach your plea cop per post quota...

Cool, thanks for clearing that up!

LeBron has been the best player on the planet for about the last decade. Still haters/and or cacs want to doubt him. Curry was chosen by sports media to become the new face of the nba because of him becoming unanimous MVP. Curry according to CACS and haters is a lesser player to alot of players but especially LeBron. Ball and best outta 7 don't lie so LeBron shut ball them fuck ers up

Oh. I give Lebron all the credit in the world for his performance, but I told people the biggest story was losing Bogut. With Iggy being hurt and Bogut being out, that was a perfect storm for Lebron to attack. That's why I was screaming for him to attack every game. But he also went buck wild in scoring with a healthy Iggy and Bogut out there last year (but just way less efficiently given the circumstances).

Bron was highly pissed when they let Mike Miller go for cap reasons
Man took less money to win championships then the Heat didn't want to go into luxury tax zone.
That played a huge part in him leaving the Heat

I think that along with Wade playing like ass and Lebron not knowing if that was SOLELY injury-related. Winning in Miami made it clear to Lebron that you needed at least one other superstar to make it work or at least another player playing like a superstar (like Kyrie did). It's crazy how poorly they looked against the Spurs while defending the back to back titles. And Lebron was pretty much the same player...but he probably had flashbacks of being on the Cavs in terms of the way the Spurs ran them off the court. Then he was like..well I got my titles, I can try to get back in Cleveland considering I have an aging squad, a hurt Wade, and an owner who is saying he needs to lower the tax burden.

Lebron not showing up on the 2011 NBA Finals was and continues to be Talking Heads bullshit narrative. The back court, Chris Bosh's incredibly bad defense on Dirk and Wade's all around bad defense. We're the real reasons for the lost.

Wade not Lebron was the leader that first year, remember Lebron was Robin. Lebron deferred to Wade that first season and played decoy way to much in a horrible offense.

Mike Bibby, Mario Chalmers and Eddie House got destroyed by Terry, Barea and Stevenson. Eddie House, Eddie Fucking House.

That team was garbage, started the season losing and should have never made Finals. The Talking Heads said they couldn't win remember? The Mavs dared everyone else to beat them while throwing everything at Lebron.

Lebron took the Heat for the lost Wade and Bosh got a pass.

If that didn't do it, Riley came out and roasted the fuck out of LeBron in public

I was like Damn!

He might have stayed. Who knows?

This was covered live on the radio down here and Sun sports before LeBron actually left

Its is long as hell but you will get the jist right away

Lebron not showing up on the 2011 NBA Finals was and continues to be Talking Heads bullshit narrative. .

Naw. It's not.

Lebron's numbers from year 1 and year 2 in Miami are almost identical. The only difference is from the 2011 Finals. All the regular season and playoff numbers from year 1 and 2 all look the same.

He played like ass in the Finals. All of his numbers dropped and scoring dropped significantly. He's played too well over the rest of his career for it to be meaningful at this point though but there is no way around it. He played like complete ass in that series.

And Wade and Bosh performed. Wade actually had a great series scoring was up at 27 a game.. shot a high clip and he played great perimeter defense. The missing piece was Lebron. That was it.

You said that. I said that. People said we were batshit. "Bogut only plays such and such minutes!"
Shit. He sets a tone. Especially when cavs aren't getting calls.

Yep. People underestimate the impact of role players. Man, after that, the lane was there anytime he wanted it. And when Iggy came out with the bad back... I'm like...so what's going to stop Lebron from just taking over and driving all game??

Did you think the Cavs would win this last Finals?

This is exactly what happened

People talking about numbers really didn't watch the games in my opinion.

The talking heads filled their heads and they bought in to the bullshit.

Even now, the man did what hasn't been done and we are talking about 2011.

That tells you all you need to know

But I think Lebron did make a statement about it in a way that made it clear he didn't appreciate Riley taking his family business to the press.
That's minor compared to that press conference

It wasn't just Riley though

It will come out at some point that Wade had a lot to do with it.

I keep telling you guys. Wade is not what you think he is.

Naw man. Lebron was passive in that series. Watching the games and looking at the stats make that clear. Lebron is too good to be scoring 8 points in pivotal games. You're kind of caping for him.
Call it what you want

This is 2016

LeBron is a champion right now

That's what counts

I already said that. Yall brought up 2011. I've already made the argument that 2011 doesn't even matter considering what he did after that. But if you're going to talk about it, it has to be truthfully. Lebron played like straight ass...watching it and looking at the stat line make it obvious. All his numbers were down..some significantly down.. I mean he scored 8 fucking points in the critical game that could have put Miami up 3-1. He choked. But all the greats have choked up at some point. Jordan choked against Orlando, Magic had a time where people called him Tragic Johnson... Zeke got antsy and passed that ball in that Bird stole...it happens.

Ok... Your giving history lessens and Im still waiting for an answer to my question. We havent seen how Curry will react to this loss....

So, lets rephrase it is.

Wades 2011 finals
25ppg 8rpg 4.3apg 1.6 TO 58 FG%

Yeah... LeBron really took the Heat for Wades lack luster performance

Wades 2011 finals

Yeah... LeBron really took the Heat for Wades lack luster performance
Curry is dealing with negative press really for the first time.
He is a cool customer though

What do you think he will do to improve?

I don't really think he's gotten that much negative press, though. People are saying he could have played better but he's not getting flamed like he should be.

They lost. That isn't the conversation to me.
It's why they lost
He played like ass
Scored 8 points
Could have been up 3-1
All that is true
That still doesn't tell why it happened
That's the only thing I'm discussing

They just had a parade
LeBron had been to Six straight finals
Proved he is still the man
The rest is irrelevant

Wades 2011 finals
25ppg 8rpg 4.3apg 1.6 TO 58 FG%

Yeah... LeBron really took the Heat for Wades lack luster performance

Man. Wade actually averaged 26.5 but close enough.

Wade was balling that series. He actually was the leader (for both teams) in scoring and blocks.

Goal posts were moved. Boston AND Chicago were supposed to beat the Heat that year. They werent even supposed to make the Finals.

I don't really think he's gotten that much negative press, though. People are saying he could have played better but he's not getting flamed like he should be.
I hope he gets back to the Finals next year

This man set records playing loose with the ball
If he gets more locked in and they get Durant?

Damn

That still doesn't tell why it happened
That's the only thing I'm discussing

We can speculate a number of things but it's 2011 Finals specific because all his numbers over the course of that season and all the playoffs series before and after that Finals were consistent. The anomaly is that specific series. So either the Mavs neutralized him or he simply didn't come to play. There are no other options.
