Debating on which machines to purchase....
The one which allows you to do up to 11inch screens w/ or without the built in vaccine pump or the one that accommodates up to 7 inch displays w/ or w/o the vacume pump...

I started advertising my service about a week-ago. I have 6 customers in city hall & 2 of my clients. so far Ive made $50 for each phone Ive done. That $150 I made is the money I spent on the glass separator machines. I ordered mine from :

http://www.ebay.com/usr/thebatterymonster?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2754

http://www.ebay.com/itm/351075960791?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

im going to run ads online wit various outlets. Plan on having a very good summer doing this. Even though i have a buildng, all you really need is a website, fb (join facebook buy & sell / electronics groups in your area), tumblr, istagram, & twitter.

the parts sites posted are excellent! the prices are just as good or better than whats available on ebay. I feel a lot more comfortable having an account with on or all of them to order my parts.

I buy the parts as i need them. I dnt see the point in ordering anything in bulk yet!

shooting for a 3-5 day turn around..... starting off with a 7-10!

the hot plat machine with the clamps on it is cool..... but its a bitch trying to adjust the clamps that hold down the face plate of the phone...

i really think the vacuum pump separator machine would be better.... but that pump is one more thing to have to fix eventually!

facebook groups are excellent advertisement in your area

groupon is good for the exposure as well.... they get 50% of what you make off of each sale :hmm: but it helps your business from what ive heard... im about to find out first hand!

WORDPRESS / STOREFRONT>.. do not add a lot of plugins.... its fucks up the site! you gotta make sure they are compatible with your template..

 Likewise! I could pay for the training off of my family alone. LCD screens last an average of 90 days.:smh:

Excellent thread.

This right here is a great way to think about justifying the upfront costs. Then go to Craigslist and buying used damaged phones for parts and practice.

Then put posters in the high schools for instant new customers

this will be my next purchase....

things tht work:
introduce yourself to the phone companies... att, verizon, tmobile
local websites
local businesses
knowing ppl in the school system
ppl in city hall

vista print is excellent for quick quality looking cards
GOTTA HAVE PARTS ON DECK... ordering shit kills business ppl want it done NOW!

pay extra for quicker delivery usps fucks up on the regular:smh::smh::smh::angry:

pick up & drop off service... ppl love it & appreciate it. Most business dnt do it anymore

im doig business with wholesalers frim china.
alibabah.com  ( i got ppl CALLING me from china  every damn day!)
global imports
dhgate

ordering parts off ebay is cool but if you buy wholesale you can sell the parts you dt use on ebay

Apple laptops?

What's good with flashing phones? Craigslist is going crazy with offers to flash phones - hardly any Ads selling actual phones. I know how to root but I'm not sure about this flashing thing - I heard it only takes minutes - is it something you need brick and mortar/workbench or can you perform service onsite with a laptop and cables?
