CBS Evening News: R. Kelly v. Gayle King 2019

It's amazing to me that someone could take the moral highground when it comes to being hateful and vengeful while entirely dismissing compassion and forgiveness.

Why do you hate R Kelly so much? Because taking advantage of young people is a horrific crime that fucks the victims up for the rest of their lives? I agree but I don't understand how you can then turn around and treat the fucked up victims of those very same acts with nothing but hate.

(I have a separate thread on this, feel free to reply there if you're up for a more focused discussion.)

I don’t hate R. Kelly. I just don’t care about him. My compassion is selective and R. Kelly is a person (he ain’t the only one) I have none for.

I’m going to check the thread out. Thanks for sharing.

Why do I care? I'm giving you an analogy.
I gave you two scenarios, where in both a crime was committed.

Fast forward to RKelly. Whether he forced a girl or she gave it to him willingly, there's still this little thing called rape.

But that's OK with you, cause no one was hurt and it didn't affect your well being or anyone else but the two people involved, right?

Same way his sister and other fam raped RKelly and he then went on to fuck a multitude of young sisters who just happened to be minors and will eventually have babies some day as well.

Nah has no effect on anyone else, so carry on.

Not trying to be confrontational, but yeah, why do you care? You still never answered.. Crimes get committed everyday. You care about this specific one. Why?

Yes it is ok with me because it was ok with all the parties involved. I did state why it doesn't affect me because it didn't affect the 2 people involved.
what happened to R. Kelly wasssss by force! What happened between him and whoever else was by choice. I think you mean statutory rape which is leagues different from rape anyways.
I want to pause and clarify something cause @Mixd you seem to be an upfront dude and legit speaking from your heart. I can respect where your coming from. And I actually share your position to a great degree. But what I must make clear is this, if you truly care! If you completely and genuinely care, why does this begin and end with R. Kelly for you? Why is it that the depth of your argument is echoed from a news source or radio personality? You haven't mentioned any other celebrity, person from your neighborhood, or any "victim" outside of R. Kelly's immediate scenario. You haven't mentioned Weinstein, Stephen Tyler, Jared from Subway, Jessie Smollet, any of the children who were being raped by teachers, Michael Jackson, or the Coreys the whole thread, none of it! And these are situations where people actually HAVE gotten hurt in some way or another. It seems to end at R. Kelly for you. It seems that if we blasted him from a cannon to the moon tomorrow you'd forget about anyone else and you'd sleep better. I'm asking you

WHY?

Rape
unlawful sexual intercourse or any other sexual penetration of the vagina, anus, or mouth of another person, with or without force, by a sex organ, other body part, or foreign object, without the consent of the victim.

Statutory Rape:
(in some jurisdictions) sexual intercourse with a minor.

You're twisting.my words or have a distorted way of reading or comprehension.

No one is obsessed with RKelly, never said I was. THIS thread is addressing him. And when I said rape, I was only addressing stauatory rape as I've said to you numerous times. But you don't seem to get it.

Either way, it's OK for him to be in bed with a minor who's under 18, in your mind because it doesn't effect your life. So cool. You've established that...

You've also established that fucking kids under 18 is ok because it's not forced, and if they want it, that's OK, correct? You did say that. They're two consenting people. Right? You agree to that narrative?

And to address all the other pedos you named above, it has been addressed throughout this thread. The focus is RKelly and what he's done.

You have no problem with what he's done because those are two people that don't affect you and yours, understood.

So no need to address me any further. You've expressed how you've felt multiple times in this thread. It's exhaustive.

OH SHIT!! LISTEN TO THIS!

:eek2::eek2::eek2:

Check this shit out! The scoop!! This old lady spilling all the beans!

 R Kelly is STILL fuckin with Sparkle's niece to this day!!!

tenor.gif

R Kelly was paying the niece's parent's mortgage!!

R Kelly's gift is music.

Otherwise, he's slow. Like, special ed slow.

He's a grown man trapped in a 12 year old's body.

The only females he can relate to on an intellectual level are 16 and younger.

 R Kelly was raped by his grandfather, his older brother and his sister!??!!

 R Kelly's mom was a crackhead!

 R Kelly allegedly was raping his kids!

 Draya was having threesomes with R Kelly WITH the underaged girls!!

 R Kelly got his first cousin pregnant at 11, he has a child with his cousin!?!

This situation is fucked up way beyond what we think it is!

Makes sense, especially about Drea and the kids. Something turned his seed into a transgender.

Why didn’t R. Kelly just do like Prince or Snoop did and change his name to Kells or Robert, start anew with a new catalogue? He must’ve really been dumb for real.

Just read that police rushed to Rkelly’s apartment because they feared the girlfriends had a suicide pact.

So I’m tripping that my man has an apartment in Trump tower.

Can’t make this up.

Lol

D my nigga actually

But man how about some reality based discourse
I just do not believe in trusting the same exact judicial system that unfairly convicts and sentences black people to dole out proper justice to any black person.

We gotta stop trusting in massa

I dont have all the answers, bro. Some of the victims' fam definitely need to handle they bidness.

Let's be honest, if R.Kelly is guilty then there are more people than just him that are guilty. Parents are guilty, bodyguards are complicit, other artists as well.

But trusting dem people to do they job tho?
The same people that's been treading on us since 1400's?

R. Kelly Faces New Sexual-Abuse Indictment, With New Allegations of Sexual Abuse of a Minor

R. Kelly, in jail and already facing federal charges in New York court and state charges in Illinois and Minnesota, now faces a new indictment, filed on February 13 in Illinois federal court, according to Pitchfork. The indictment supersedes the original from last July, which charged Kelly with child pornography, enticement of a minor and obstruction of justice. The new allegations state that Kelly enticed a minor, identified as “Minor 6,” “to engage in sexual activity for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense, namely, aggravated criminal sexual abuse,” between 1997 and 2000, beginning when the alleged victim was 14 or 15 years old. The new indictment also appears to remove from the list of alleged victims the 17-year-old victim identified as “Minor 2,” now “Individual D,” who had played a central role in the allegations of pay-offs during Kelly’s 2008 child pornography trial.

In another significant change from the previous indictment, the prosecution now seeks for the first time the forfeiture of all assets of Kelly’s production company, Bass Productions Ltd., as well as those of a company owned by his co-defendant and longtime business manager, Derrel McDavid, according to the Chicago Tribune.

This news comes after Kelly missed a court date in January due to hernia surgery, according to TMZ. Furthermore, as of February, Kelly’s former girlfriend and defender Azriel Clary is now cooperating with federal investigators and speaking out against Kelly, TMZ reports. Clary left Kelly in December of 2019, and allegedly “lied to federal agents several times in the past to cover for Kelly.”

These new developments will most likely push back Kelly’s scheduled trial date of April 27, for federal charges.

R. Kelly Faces New Indictment for Knowingly Exposing Partners to Herpes

R. Kelly, who is facing several federal charges for allegedly sexually abusing women and underage girls, is now also being prosecuted for knowingly exposing two women to an infectious venereal disease. The updated indictment states that Kelly was aware he had contracted herpes and proceeded to have unprotected sex with a woman and underage girl without informing them of his condition, the New York Times reports. The young woman, who met the R&B artist when she was 19, ended their relationship in 2018 after she learned she had contracted the disease. It is not yet clear whether the underage girl also contracted herpes. Douglas Anton, a lawyer for R. Kelly, maintains that there is “zero evidence” to suggest that Kelly knew he had herpes.
The new allegations, filed on Friday, are part of a nine-count indictment, adding to a case against R. Kelly that was first announced last summer. R. Kelly remains in custody in Chicago, where he faces additional charges in a trial that has since been delayed, as new allegations have surfaced involving the discovery of hidden electronics. He is scheduled to face trial in Brooklyn this July.
