fam, since I saw this I been plotting of a way to come up with the cash for an early F430 6sp manual and the 700whp UGR kit by next summer......business is gonna have to get really, really, really good!!!:D...who am I kidding, probably won't happen.....so I'll have to settle for an E63 wagon:)

Hell yea this is sick. I always wondered why Heffner and UR only did this shit for lambos, bout time they fuck with the Ferraris

Most Ferrari owners are purist. Beyond an exhaust, they really don't like fucking around with the car.

UGR kit is OK, but Novitec Rosso's has a pump gas, Twin Turbo F430 kit out for about 4 years now.
Heffner is known for blowing your shit up. Hennessey is the same.

you get alot more for your money with the UGR kit, and if you have seen their Lambos you know it will be "First Class"!!

I agree with you there....to a point.
that was the passing generation of Ferrari heads.....and there are certain cars like a Challenge Stradale, that shouldn't be touched......

but as Ferrari get more and more reliable, and younger people start buying them, modding will happen!.....and remember back in the day there weren't any companies out there that would mod exotic cars(that also has alot to do with it), now with companies like UGR, Heffner, Novitec.......shit is going to happen!! good shit!!:yes::yes:

Ur prolly right. I don't know any Ferrari owners I don't think, my mentor prolly has one but he's nonchalant) I could make a guess. However I did know a lambo owner, and he didn't modify his at all. I'm sure ur prolly right though, they prolly market these kits to the younger wealthy crowd.

Good points

Uh, supercharger is instant full boost.
Turbo = boost lag.

The problem with a supercharger is that it is limited to the engine's build/pulleys.

errr, NO!!!!

yes, with turbo there is lag.......it can be real "Jekyll & Hyde".......but you get full boost for way longer...

with a supercharger you don't get that, because the amount of boost you get is totally dependent on how fast the motor is spinning.......that's why the boost comes on very linear, very smooth.....

but, their is only 1 superchager set-up that will give you near instant boost........that's the "roots" type, twin screw superchargers(the ones that sit on top of the engine)........unfortunately 95% of people use "centrifugal" type superchargers.....(the ones that look like half a turbo):)

Umm, I think you're getting Superchargers and Turbos reversed.

Superchargers give you full boost and instant response right from throttle tip in. There's no spooling up to make boost because they're mechanically driven.

Turbo's make their max boost near redline. More exhaust force = more force driving the turbine.

I've owned and driven both turbo and superchared cars and the supercharged cars always had the turbo beat off the line because it was instant boost.
The turbo would eventually catch up and pass the supercharged car when the boost kicked in.
my boy's e55 amg beats our shop's c63 amg.
my boy's kennebell mustang beats his turbo Buick all the time albeit the Buick having 150 hp less.

Other way around. 95% of people use the Roots Eaton type of S-Charger.
Mustang, Vetter ZR-1, Hot Rods, etc. etc.

The Centrifugal ones are more rare. You see them occasionally on imports because of the lack of hood clearance. As a matter of fact, the only car that comes to mind that use a centrifugal supercharger stock, was the old Volkswagen Corrado.

Is this fucking with the Bugatti Veyron 16.4?

Not too much fucking with the Veyron.
16 cylinders - 4 turbos - over 1,100hp (electronically limited to 1,000 because Bugatti's tire manufacturers couldn't make a tire that could handle the power and be everyday useable once they surpassed 1,000hp )

ok, agreed......with a SC you see boost instantly, but not full boost until redline............were a turbo car goes from almost no boost, to full boost in the frist few thousand rpms...

so yes, off the line the SC car might get the jump.......but if all other things are equal(same hp) the turbo car will always win in the long run....

true, I shouldn't have said 95%........but understand I'm not an American car fan.......most of the SC's I've seen are centri's, mostly Vortech's on cars from BMW's to Vettes, to Rustangs.....

and the VW's came with G-Lader type superchargers.....another different animal.....

new vid....

they run a stock Gallardo SL for comparison.....next vid will be againts a Twin Turbo Gallardo making similar power.....:)
